A team of experts from the fields of MTB geometry, suspension and performance worked together with motor, battery and IT specialists to develop the ATOM X solution. 20 16 ATOM X REDEFINING THE LINES The new ATOM X frame, with groundbreaking lines, was designed entirely by BH R&D team after more than 3 years of research. With a front triangle incorporating extreme and aggressive lines, its exceptional standover height allows you to ride the bike with ease, thanks to the sloping Top Tube design. The shape of the Down Tube ensures exception fork and wheel clearance for use in Enduro and aggressive Trail cycling. The down tube provides for outstanding frame stiffness. It has a triple extrusion which is free from any CNC or cut that compromise its strength. The hydroformed Top Tube surrounds the Head Tube, defining the unique design of the ATOM X and increasing the stiffness of the front triangle. The cabling is routed internally through the frame (including the dropper seatpost cable). Boost 148x12 The natural fitting of the cabling avoids any friction that compromises the performance of the system and ensures easy frame maintenance. The frame features an integrated chainguide that covers chainwheels from 32 to 38 teeth. Both the chainstay and the seatstay incorporate integrated chain protectors in the Lynx range. Its 148x12 boost rear triangle design ensures its stiffness and overall pedaling performance. The asymmetrically shaped seat tube used in the ATOM X Lynx models enabled the design team to develop a streamlined suspension system at the same time that keeps the SAG indicator indicator highly visible for the rider ensuring a quick and reliable setup. Furthermore, it ensures a natural integration of the asymmetric central motor. It contains the required guides for the stealth routing of the dropper seatpost cable. The ATOM X models come in 3 sizes - S, M and L - to ensure the best fit for each user (except for the ATOM X Lynx Plus, which is offered in M and L). 21 E-BIKES 1 17 FULL SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY The full suspension ATOM X models incorporate the SPLIT PIVOT technology patented by BH. The unique design of the suspension maintains its structural stiffness and enables the bike to be used without assistance performing equal to a conventional bike. Its rear triangle is very compact, with a rear center measuring only 460 mm and providing dynamic riding performance. RC 460MM DRIVE S MOTOR The external housing integrates the motor into the frame with minimal visual impact. The motor is protected by a 3mm alloy bashguard that is directly mounted to the frame. An alloy heat dissipation plate works in combination with the motor ensuring optimal performance. The motor also integrates a built-in compartment for the GPS tracker and storage area in the hardtail models. The ATOM X range includes a Drive S central motor, which produces 15% more torque in average for a wider cadence range (of 60 and 90 rpm). Developed for a high level of performance, the system supports the rider providing a natural riding experience. It offers superior sensitivity and response on technical terrains while allowing for a friction free pedaling under no assistance circumstances. The Drive S motor has a triple sensor and offers a high efficiency with a maximum torque of 90 Nm, limited to 25 km/h. It is a 3,4 kg compact and lightweight motor, with built-in magnesium and alloy parts. A carbon belt ensures smooth and noise free performance. 22 18 PATENTED INTEGRATED BATTERY SOLUTION The ATOM X solution integrates the battery into the down tube. It is based on an innovative patented system which allows the user to ergonomically access the battery from the top of the bike, using an easy opening and closing lever system. The ATOM X built-in battery incorporates the new cells, which offers the highest energy capacity on the market (5 Ah). This allows the ATOM battery to achieve a total capacity of 720 Wh contained in a compact down tube design, providing the potential for 150 km of range. The external charging port is located conveniently on the upper section of the battery and is easily accessible to the user. The battery protection system incorporates an electronic lock which is activated through the use of a Smart Key Bracelet. This technology is housed within a stylish, sportive and fully waterproof rubber bracelet that includes an identification code specific to each individual bike. 34 30 Atoms feature a battery that is fully integrated into the frame's diagonal tube, whose design has been optimised to reduce the weight of the frame by 600 grams, and a aggressive and compact geometry that is typical of BH frames. The MTB 2018 range includes the Boost 148x12 rear axle, models with telescopic seatposts and will include high-end peripherals. And there are great new features in the peripherals in the Trekking range; the lights, racks, seats and grips have been upgraded to obtain high-performance bicycles that meet the needs of our most demanding customers. A new 2.8 LCD display with a USB port, with a colour screen to identify the level of assistance. And a third, more compact size has been added to a large number of Atom models. BROSE S CENTRAL MOTOR Motor Integration The Atom 2018 range includes a Brose S central motor, with 15% more torque for a cadence of between 60 and 90 rpm. Developed for high performance and maximum power for use in competition. It offers great sensitivity and response on technical terrains. The Drive S motor has a triple sensor and efficiency of between 75% and 82% depending on the speed, and a maximum torque of 90 Nm, limited to 25 km/h. It is a 3.4 kg geared motor, compact and light, composed of magnesium and aluminium parts and a carbon belt that ensures a quiet motor. The motor is integrated into the frame with minimal visual impact and a low centre of gravity. It also enables the use of a conventional groupset double chainring or internal gear hub and offers no resistance in «no assistance» mode. LEVELS OF ASSISTANCE Eco 1:0,7 Standard 1:15 Sport 1:2.4 Boost 1:3.5 BATTERY INTEGRATED INTO THE FRAME In the Atom range, the lithium-ion battery is integrated into the frame s diagonal tube. Its extruded aluminium body enables heat dissipation from the cells and it is seamlessly incorporated into the frame, blending in with its design. There are 2 types of batteries, 600 Wh for the Pro range, 500 Wh for the Standard range. Offering long ranges of up to 125 km in the Pro range, by incorporating 4.2 Ah high-density cells; 105 km in the Standard range. It has an energy density above 170 Wh/kg.

The MTB range has a side-extraction battery, located in the front triangle and integrated with the design of the frame. It incorporates the Boost 148x12 rear axle and high-end seats and grips. In addition to models with telescopic seatposts and wheels for tubeless tyres. There are great new features in the peripherals in the Trekking range; the lights, racks, seats and grips have been upgraded to obtain high-performance bicycles that meet the needs of our most demanding customers. The Yamaha central motor is built into the frame with minimal visual impact and a low centre of gravity. It also enables the use of a conventional groupset double plate or internal gear hub and offers no resistance in «no assistance» mode. The PW-X motor is 380 g lighter than the PW motor, changing the feel of the ride. It is 13% smaller thanks to its lighter gears and gearbox. The Power Tube 500 battery is fully integrated into the frame, ensuring clean lines and the appearance of a conventional bicycle. The angle of the motor has been set to 52º, to give it a more efficient design and ensure the optimal height of the bottom bracket axle and a short and dynamic rear axle. 80 1 E-BIKES 76 EVO Evo bicycles, with their battery that is fully integrated into the frame, were ground-breaking when they were launched, creating/inspiring a new range of ebikes. The Evo range is still evolving every year to offer improved features and performance. The frame has been completely redesigned and optimised to offer a compact design, with thinner tubes that make them 600 grams lighter than the original model. The rear motor has been optimised for greater efficiency, a longer range and improved integration. It has a thru axle that facilitates wheel removal and the motor connector s attachment makes it easier to connect or disconnect. The electronic components have been oversized to significantly increase its peak power and rated torque. And a third, more compact size has been added to a large number of models. 48 V HIGH-EFFICIENCY REAR MOTOR AND THRU AXLE It is a 350 W (Evo bikes) or 500 W (Evo Nitro bikes) compact geared motor that ensures optimal integration without a visual impact and coupling with no loss in performance: Standard Q factor and a conventional groupset (double or triple chain ring). The electronic components in the Evo motor have been oversized to increase the torque by 20%, obtaining peak powers of 860 W and a maximum torque of 140 Nm on the bottom bracket axle. The high-efficiency 48 V voltage, reduces energy losses in the circuit by 25%, compared with an equivalent 36 V system, and it reduces electrical noise and increases efficiency performance by 91%, thus increasing its range. It enables the use of a conventional groupset double chain ring and offers no resistance in «no assistance» mode.. It has a 6 km/h throttle. The rear motor has a quick-release thru axle that makes it easier to change the inner tube in the event of a puncture. And the motor connector s attachment makes it easier to connect or disconnect. Assistance up to 25 km/h and throttle up to 6 km/h (in NITRO models assistance is up to 45 km/h and throttle is up to 20 km/h). It has a new extruded aluminium body that enables heat dissipation from the cells and it is seamlessly incorporated into the frame, blending in with its design. 600 Wh for the Pro range, 500 Wh for the Standard range, with an energy density above 170 Wh/kg. The Evo Pro model offers a range of up to 125 km by incorporating 4.2 Ah highdensity cells. The range of the Standard model is 105 km and for the Evo Nitro range it is 85 km. Two extended warranties on the battery model: Extended warranty +1: 3 years for battery ( 150 retail price). Extended warranty +2: 4 years for battery ( 300 retail price). Emotion extended warranty conditions 1. The extended warranty specifies that it covers the BH EMOTION electric bicycle battery. It also states that it is governed by the laws of the country in which it is purchased and it may only be applied to bicycles acquired at an authorised European BH EMOTION retailer. 2. Batteries are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a 3 year period (extended warranty +1) or 4 year period (extended warranty +2), starting from the date on which it is purchased by the buyer from the authorised BH EMOTION retailer. 3. This extended warranty does not mean that the battery will not malfunction or that it will be last for an indefinite period. It only implies that the battery is covered by the extended warranty, as set forth in the corresponding conditions. 4. This extended warranty only applies to the original buyer of a BH EMOTION electric bicycle and may not be transferred to any subsequent owners. 5. The bicycle and the battery should be taken to an authorised BH EMOTION retailer of the country in which it was purchased in order to make a warranty claim. The bicycle must be fully assembled and the original invoice must be provided along with the purchase date (it should be kept in a safe place). 6. Following an in-depth review of the battery in question, all warranties are subject to the decision made by our engineers concerning the nature of the fault. 7. This extended warranty will be cancelled and rendered ineffective, in the following instances: - Improper use. - Negligent use. - When it is hired out. - For use in competition of any kind. - Repairs and/or maintenance. - Changes and/or modifications. - Accidents. This extended warranty only covers batteries which were fully assembled when purchased and put together at an authorised BH EMOTION retailer, or any other point of sale which has the express authorisation of BH EMOTION to market its bicycles. 8. This warranty does not cover: - Damage arising from faulty assembly and maintenance and/or the installation of pieces and accessories which are not compatible with the BH EMOTION bicycle. - Damage suffered by the original buyer of the bicycle, regardless of how the damage was caused. - Damage caused by the original buyer of the bicycle to third parties, regardless of how the damage was caused. - Gradual deterioration of the battery in the course of its intended use. 9. All labour expenses related to the application of the warranty are to be met by the owner of the bicycle. During the period of application of the warranty, BH will repair all batteries or, if necessary, will replace the battery with another of the same model or the most similar model from those available.

144 140 GENERAL CONCEPTS Concepts After sales procedure I. Repairs In order to offer an optimal after sales service for bh emotion bikes that are out of the warranty period or conditions, bh will replace the broken components of the electric system under a given budget. II. Replacements Bh will not sell replacement components to the dealers except for warranties or repairs. Batteries and chargers are not included. III. Warranties In order to optimize after sales service for bh emotion bikes that are considered under the warranty period or conditions, bh will replace the broken components of the electric system for free. In normal conditions of use, conservation and maintenance, bh offers a 2 year warranty for material and manufacturing defects in the entire bicycle and electrical components. Regarding batteries, the warranty is valid for 2 years from the delivery date. This warranty only applies to the main owner and in no case and under no circumstance are the rights given by the warranty programme transferable. Consult the terms and conditions of the warranty in the warranty card which is provided separately with your bh emotion. IV. Exceptions 1. The warranty does not apply to parts: which are subject to wear and tear, such as tyres, chains, brakes, cables, chain rings, direction, crankset and sprockets, providing that they do not present material or assembly defects. 2. The warranty shall be invalidated in the following cases: The bicycle has been damaged due to its use in competitions, jumps, descents, events or as a result of being exposed - or ridden - in extreme conditions or climate. The bicycle has been in an accident. The bicycle has been used in an unsuitable way or any other way which is uncommon considering the type of bicycle. The bicycle has not been repaired in accordance with the maintenance instructions manual. The bicycle has been repaired or maintenance has been carried out by a non-authorized bh distributor. Non-original bicycle parts have been assembled. The original owner has transferred the bicycle to a third party. V. Liabilities 1. Bh assumes no responsibilities regarding damages to (parts of) the bicycle produced by an incorrect adjustment of mobile bicycle parts, the unsuitable use and/or maintenance of the bicycle (including a late replacement of parts subject to wear and tear). 2. In the event that bh accepts a warranty claim, this does not imply, in any case, the acceptance of responsibilities due to the possible damages incurred. In the event of a dispute regarding damages suffered (subsequent), bh shall be exempt of any responsibility to that effect, as it is not legally bound to compensation. Any non-authorized manipulation of the electrical system s components may be dangerous and shall be considered a reason for annulment of the warranty.
