2 PROGRAM ENDURO TOUR ISTRIA SCOUTINGTOUR 2019 Istria is also known as the green oasis of the northern Adriatic Sea. Everything here seems so familiar and unspoiled. With just one glance, you can appreciate the nearby mountains, covered with snow, the green meadows, vineyards and olive groves, all the way to the shimmering blue of the sea. Follow our experienced tour guides on carefully selected routes from the Drau valley to Buzet, where we will set up base camp for the next few days. On this tour, we frequently try out new sections of road. But that s precisely the attraction of a scouting tour: discovering new things and not always knowing exactly where the path will lead us. 4 1st Stage Drautal - Buzet (approx. 325 KM) Drau Valley - Hermagor Wurzen Pass - Triglav National Park along the River Soča Buzet Beautiful stretches of road with some short off-road sections

5 2nd Stage Buzet - Risnjak Nationalpark - Rijeka - Buzet (app. 210 KM) Towards the east, we make a loop around the Risnjak National Park In the middle of the forest, we take a midday break in a rustic forest restaurant On the way back, on the way back we pass by the city of Rijeka and then enjoy fantastic views of the city and the islands of Krk and Cres

6 3rd Stage Buzet - Novigrad - Buzet (approx. 140 KM) Many small off-road sections lead us west to the northern Adriatic coast near Novigrad On the way we take a break in the well worth seeing medieval towns Groznjan und Motovun

7 4th Stage Buzet Rovinji - Buzet (approx. 220 KM) To the south west towards the fjord and then on to the coast by Rovinji Swimming spot south of Rovinji The day contains many diverse off-road sections

8 5th Stage Buzet - Drautal (approx. 330 KM) In the morning along the Italian border in Slovenia, with some pretty off-road sections Coffee break in Lipica, then winding tar roads are waiting to lead us to our lunch spot Up to the mountains again afterwards, with a longer off-road section through the forest We continue along the River Soča through the western part of the Triglav National Park until our coffee break at Lago del Predil and then via Naßfeld and Hermagor back to the Drau Valley

10 REQUIREMENTS Off-road experience required. Previous participation in an off-road training is highly recommended. Conditions Please bring your complete motorcycling gear (helmet, motorcycling boots, gloves, goggles, motorcycling suit with protectors, back protector. Sorry, no rental of motorcycling gear possible. Motorcycle rental including a small lugagge bag for transporting camera, water bottle, etc. BMW R 1200 GS Adv., BMW R 1200 GS, BMW F 850 GS, other models on request

11 LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY On all our trips fun is our main goal. With the classification 1 helmet up to 3 helmets we would like to give you an indication to evaluate your off-road riding skills, for the tour required. Self-evaluation is not easy but the final decision is made only by you. Don`t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. Our tourguides are all professionally trained BMW instructors from the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. They are also at your disposal for further questions about the trip or special informations about the routes. = Enduro beginners and advanced enduro riders Driving on asphalt, even on passes with narrow switchbacks are no problem for you. The off-road part is mostly under 30 % of the total distance. The tour is easily manageable also for beginners. Recommendation: If you have no off-road experience at all, we recommend a 1- or 2 day training course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. After that training course it is much easier for you to evaluate your skills and to figure out whether you have fun riding off-road tracks. = Advanced enduro riders Driving on ashalt as well as on gravel, passes with narrow switchbacks (paved and gravel) are no problem for you. Off-road experience is mandatory. The off-road part is mostly over 30 % of the total distance. Challenging sections are possible. Recommendation: This tour is not applicable for participants without any off-road experiences. We recommend a 1- or 2-day training course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. = Very advanced enduro riders This tour is suitable for drivers with advanced off-road experience and good fitness. The daily routes can be pretty long. The tour has generally a lot of off-road parts including demanding and difficult routes. Recommendation: This tour is not recommended for participants without any off-road experiences. We recommend a 1- or 2- day training course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen.
