4 Why do we need? Dear Team Members, While we pursue diversity in our population of team members throughout Mountain States, we strive for consistency in our visual imagery. This consistency helps unify our healthcare system of 14 hospitals, Strategic Service Units, Strategic Service Departments and all the other departments and programs. Each of these areas has its own special look, which we aim to maintain and reinforce through communication. By consistently applying the look of each area within MSHA and the visual identity of MSHA as a whole, we help make our organization a recognizable and respected system in our communities and region. The corporate brandmark (logos) and other elements reproduced in this manual are the only approved symbols that may be used. There are no exceptions to this policy. This guide outlines the basic graphic standards you need to follow in order to preserve and protect the equity being developed in the MSHA identity. The new MSHA visual identity should be phased in. Existing inventories of print materials should be used up first and updated with new graphics as needed. Our Communications and Marketing Department is available to create new publications and products to conform to the new identity and adapt existing publications and products. The department maintains all master files and will ensure they are applied appropriately. They also provide official stationery, business cards and other printed materials as needed. 5 Brandmark Specifications The Mountain States brandmark is a single unit. The logos below represent the only approved usage of our logos. Do not change the placement, spacing or proportion of any element. The typefaces used for the text signature, mission statement and locator can never be changed, altered or distorted. The Mountain States brandmark should be treated with purpose and consistency in all forms of communication. This guide outlines the basic you need to preserve and protect the equity being developed in the Mountain States identity. System Logo Primary system and corporate logo. Brand Icon Mountain States Typographic Signature Font: Trajan Bold Brand Architecture Logos Mountain States brand architecture includes logos for facilities, centers of excellence/strategic service units, strategic service departments, ancillary services, corporate support departments, foundation and for-profit entities. These logos comprise the brand icon, a typographic signature and the appropriate locator. To prevent diluting the effectiveness of the Mountain States brand, no individual logos are permitted. 7 Corporate Typography Adobe Garamond Pro Minimum Point Size: 10 pt. Adobe Garamond Pro is the corporate typeface and should be used on all Mountain States communications and marketing materials. This typeface offers numerous styles and weights and is available as a crossplatform open typeface (OTF) for use on all computers. It is mainly used for body copy, but can be appropriate for headlines and subheadlines at times.
