All drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc.Licence and all vehicles must comply with the current Speedway New Zealand Rule book and supplementary regulations. 3. Noise level of 95dba will be enforced as measured on the track infeild. 4. Electronic Lapscoring will be used. Lapscoring will be by way of the Dorian Date-1tm. Timing/Scoring system. The official transmitter for Electronic Lapscoring is Dorian Date-1 TX8000tm. Transmitters and One-Way Receivers to be working. Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted to race. Palmerston North Speedway does not provide transmitters. 5. Smoking is prohibited in the dummy grid area at all times. 6. All entry forms must be accompanied by a track clearance 7. The Promoter reserves the right to issue temporary numbers to avoid duplication. It is a condition of entry that competing vehicles arrive at vehicle checking displaying the number allocated to them and that the numbers comply with the rules of Speedway New Zealand Inc. (no cardboard / paper numbers) 8. The promoter reserves the right to alter the format and closing date if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any such changes. 9. Technical Inspections Please pay attention to Rules E2-3-1 to E Sponsors advertising transfers may be affixed on each car. 11. Telephone, Fax and (pnspeedway@xtra.co.nz) entries will be accepted prior to written entry. Entries close Thursday 20 th December In the event that you have already forwarded an entry form and discover that you are unable to attend this meeting, you must notify us as soon as possible. 13. In the event of a rainout, the Promoter reserves the right to hold the event on the next most opportune day and time 14. Alcoholic beverages must not be consumed in the Pits anytime, before, during and after the meeting. 15. The Promoter reserves the right for security to inspect any or all vehicles entering the venue, ie enclosed trailers, trucks, buses etc. 16. 2 Format : Rain Date: In the event of a rain out, the event will be scheduled for Sunday 13 th January 2019 or on the next opportune time. Vehicle Checking: From 3.00pm to 5.00pm in the Pits at the Robertson Holden International Speedway. Drivers Briefing: 5.45pm sharp. All drivers will assemble in the Waldegrave lounge at 5.45pm sharp for a drivers briefing. Attendance at the Drivers Briefing is mandatory. Warm Up / Hot Laps: 6.20pm to 6.40pm Racing Starts: 7.00pm Admission The driver and two crew members of the tow vehicle will be given an entry refund. Admission Prices are January 12 th Adult $25 Child* $10 Family** $60 * CHILD (8 to 15 years inclusive proof of age required, 7 and under free) ** FAMILY (2 adults and up to 4 children, 8 to 15 years incl) NOTE: You can not get more than 2 adults in on a family pass. 3 North Island Sprintcar Championship Format M4-23 One Race Final M Qualifying (a) Elimination Heats and repechage(s) are held to find a maximum of 24 finalists. (b) Races will be 12 laps. (c) No competitor can be seeded directly into the finals M Heats to determine grid for final (a) Finalists to draw for starting grid of first Final Heat. (b) The second Final Heat starting grid to be reverse of grid one. (c) Final heats will be 12 laps. (d) Points will be awarded as per finishing position with maximum points for first in each heat descending in finishing order. M Final Race (a) The Final race is 30 laps. (b) The highest point scorer has a choice of grid one or grid two and the rest of the grid is in descending order of points awarded from the previous final heats. (c) Grid ties will be decided on the toss of a coin. (d) All previous points awarded do not count in the Final race. (e) The winner of the Final race becomes the Champion. (f) The rest of the placings will be awarded in finishing order.
