3 2013 District Pinewood Derby Statistics. The 2013 District Derby was hosted by Winslow Pack 445 at the Winslow Elementary School. The race took a total of two days for set up and take down. People from several packs converged on April 6 th 2013 to enjoy a day of racing and friendly competition. Despite a few technical errors encountered through the day, the competition went off without a hitch District Pinewood Derby C a total registered youth C had 96 Pre-registered racers C had 16 Pre-registered alternate racers C had 5 alternate racers show up to District Derby C had 2 alternates selected to race C had 89 total actual racers C had 9 Racers not show up. C had a total of 25 Pre-registered Best in Show Cars C had a total of 10 Pre-registered Best in Show Cars C had 10 registered alternate Best in Show Cars C had 23 Best in Show Cars able to compete. C had 0 cars disqualified (although three came close to being disqualified for rule infractions) C had 10 number of staff C had 4 number of concessions staff\ C had 5 top race trophies and 5 top best in show trophies C fastest car in average time was seconds and had an average speed of miles per hour scalled (MPH-S) speed. C slowest car in average time was seconds and had an average speed of C MPH-S speed difference between the fastest and the slowest car was seconds and 84.7 MPH-S C The race was performed on a state of the art machined aluminum track made by "Fast track". The finish line system was a "The Champ" professional Gate System and is accurate down to a ten-thousandth of a second. The race was governed by a Dell Latitude D810 computer system with an Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz Processor running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. The racers raced in each lane once throughout the day. The scoring was done by averaging each car s four races together.
