1 TAUPO HISTORIC GP MEETING BRUCE MCLAREN MOTORSPORT PARK TAUPO SATURDAY 19 & SUNDAY 20 JANUARY 2019 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS PART ONE 1. JURISDICTION This event is an Historic Race Meeting organised by The Circuit Club Incorporated at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park Taupo and promoted by TMP Limited, the owner and operator of Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park Taupo. The Meeting will be held under these Supplementary Regulations, the MotorSport NZ National Sporting Code and its Appendices and Schedules particularly Appendix Four, Schedule Z being the Standing Regulations for all Race Meetings and Appendix Two, Schedule A Driver and Vehicle Safety Requirements. The MotorSport NZ Permit Number is: The Motorsport NZ Stewards of the Meeting are Gary Haar (Chair) and Alistair Steele. 2. MAJOR OFFICIALS 2.1 Organising Committee: Tony Walker, Jenny Stubbington, Russell Barriball and Chris Abbott 2.2 Secretary of the Meeting: Jenny Stubbington 2.3 Officials of the Meeting: A list of the Officials of the Meeting will be published in Part 2 Supplementary Regulations. 3. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS: The Meeting Organisers have scheduled races for the following vehicle classes or types: - Formula 5000s invited by The New Zealand Formula 5000 Association (F5000) - Historic Muscle Cars invited by Historic Muscle Cars NZ (HMC) - Historic Saloon Cars invited by Historic Muscle Cars NZ (HSC) - Historic Sports Sedans & Allcomers invited by the Co-ordinator of the Historic Sports Sedans and Allcomers Classes (HSS&A) - Historic Formula Fords invited by The Historic Formula Ford Racing register of The Historic Racing and Sports Car Club Inc. (HFF) - Formula Juniors, Historic F3, and Invited Sports Racing cars invited by The New Zealand Formula Junior Register of The Historic Racing and Sports Car Club Inc. (FJ/F3/ISR) 4. ENTRY CLOSING DATES & ENTRY FEES: 4.1 Entry Closing Dates: The entry closing date at normal fees is Friday 21 December Entries received after the normal; fee-closing date, 21 December 2018 may be subject to a late fee. ed entries will be accepted however the Secretary of the Meeting must receive the original of the entry form no later than three (3) days after the despatch of the ed entry. Payment can be made on-line at The bank account details for payment by direct credit are: ASB Taupo Branch TMP Limited Particulars: Code: THGP Ref: ENTRY FEE 4.3 Entry Fee refund policy: (1) The Organisers advise that entry fees will only be refunded in full or in part under the following conditions: (a) Non-acceptance of entry Full Refund (b) Cancellation of the Meeting prior to the commencement of documentation ---- Full Refund. (c) Withdrawal in writing prior to the close of normal entries ---- Full Refund. (d) Withdrawals after normal entry closing but before the start time listed for documentation % Refund. NOTE: All tickets issued to the competitor for the meeting must be returned as a prerequisite to any refund consideration. (2) The Organisers confirm that entry fees will not be refunded for: (a) Withdrawals or failure of a competitor to advise of non-appearance at the meeting after the commencement of documentation; or

3 (b) Abandonment or cancellation of the meeting after the commencement of documentation. 5. COMPETITOR REQUIREMENTS & UNDERSTANDING: 5.1 Licence Requirements: The driver must hold as a minimum a C Grade Competition Licence. Australian competitors shall apply to CAMS for a Trans-Tasman visa. International competitors must hold a National or higher Race licence issued by their parent ASN (the people who issue licences in your country e.g. SCCA) PLUS written confirmation (in English) from their ASN that the licence is the correct grade for this level of competition and that the driver meets the medical standard for this competition. If the Entrant is other than a driver, an Entrants licence in the name of the Entrant is required. 5.2 New Drivers: Any driver(s) who have not previously competed at the circuit must indicate the fact on the entry form and attend the New Competitors Briefing session. The time and place for this briefing will be detailed in Part Two of these regulations. 5.3 Competitor Understanding: In signing the entry forms competitors (Entrants and Drivers) are deemed to fully understand the MotorSport NZ National Sporting Code and its relevant Appendices and Schedules. In particular: The National Sporting Code Articles pertaining to protests and competitors obligations; Schedule Z Articles detailing Flag signals and Code of Conduct; and The Code of Practice for Motorsport Fuel Storage and Handling. Competitors Briefing An oral briefing will be held on Saturday morning 19 January The time and location will be published in Letter of Acceptance (Supplementary Regulations Part 2). 6. DOCUMENTATION & SCRUTINEERING AUDIT INSPECTION 6.1 Documentation: Documentation for all classes will take place at the Race Secretary s Office on Saturday 19 January 2019 from 07:30 09:30. Exact timing will be advised in the Letter of Acceptance (Supplementary Regulations Part 2). 6.2 Scrutineering Audit Inspection: Scrutineering will take place at the same time as documentation, with the location to be advised in the Acceptance of Entry. Competitors will be advised at documentation, if their vehicle has been selected for an audit. 7. POSTPONEMENT CANCELLATION ABANDONMENT & ORGANISERS RIGHTS: Pursuant to National Sporting Code Article 13, the organisers advise that if less than 60 entries are received by the entry closing date, the meeting may be postponed or cancelled. Should there be less than 10 entries received for any of the classes proposed in Article 3 of these Supplementary Regulations by the entry closing date, the organisers reserve the right to cancel that class or amalgamate it with another class at their sole discretion. 8. TIMEKEEPING All classes will be electronically timed using the AMB Transponder System. All competitors must have an operational AMB transponder approved for car or motorcycle racing, fitted for all testing, qualifying sessions and races. For those competitors who do not own their own transponder, hire units are available from the Race Secretary s office. The hire charge is additional to the Entry Fee.

4 GENERAL INFORMATION A. Practice and Testing: Practice and testing will be complimentary on Friday 18 January 2019 to all entrants. All entrants who wish to take part in practice and testing on Friday 18 January 2019 must report to the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park Office to register before practising and testing. Details of times will be listed on the Notice Board by the Race Secretary s Office. B. Additional Tickets for Sale: Competitors will be able to purchase additional tickets for their guests up to the conclusion of documentation at a special rate. PROGRAMME OF EVENTS (Provisional) Qualifying and races for all classes will be held on Saturday 19 January 2019 from 09:30 and races for all classes will be held on Sunday 20 January 2019 from 10:00. A provisional schedule of events is attached. In accordance with Appendix Four Schedule Z, the organisers reserve the right to amalgamate or delete any event or cancel any race should less than 10 entries be received by the closing date.
