2 I am delighted to present the 2017 Chester Yacht Club calendar. Once again, we owe a huge debt of thanks to our sponsors, without whom the production of this calendar would not be possible. We are a sailing club! From late May to early October we are scheduled to start 100 races. And that doesn t count Race Week! July 1st is Canada s 150th birthday, and Vice Commodore, Brookes Diamond is Commodore s Message developing a major party for the club. We will be busy starting at 1000 h. Our Junior program is getting ready for another busy year. We have a complete group of enthusiastic coaches, most of whom are returnees. Our young sailors are the future of our club and need our vigourous support. The Junior Fundraiser is August 4. You may notice a few holes in the sponsorship of the Friday evening hors d oeurves. These evening gatherings are one of the most popular and well attended events the club puts on. If you would be interested in sponsoring, or have any thoughts about people who might want to sponsor, please talk to Kim or me. The Club is here for you to enjoy. If you have any comments or suggestions or want to participate, please, speak to me or Kim or any member of the Executive or the Bar Staff. And, please, do patronize our sponsors.
