FedEx Racing Commitment to Community Since its founding in 2005, the FedEx Racing program has made a commitment to community service a priority and team hallmark. Through national initiatives with organizations such as the March of Dimes, Safe Kids Worldwide, The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross, and in cooperation with local human service organizations, FedEx Racing has touched the lives of thousands of individuals and offered much needed support in the form of charitable contributions and the volunteerism of FedEx team members. 2017: All season long, FedEx tied the on-track performance of the #11 FedEx Toyota to its efforts to improve road safety through a new program, Delivering Laps for FedEx Cares, by donating $111 for each lap Denny Hamlin led and $11,000 for each race victory to Safe Kids Worldwide, a nonprofit working to protect kids on the road, at home and at play. After leading 710 laps and capturing two Cup Series wins in 2017, FedEx donated $100,810 to Safe Kids in the program s inaugural year. Hamlin and the entire FedEx Racing crew also supported Safe Kids during National Walk to School Day on October 4, and they led more than 200 students to class at Cotswold Elementary School in Charlotte, N.C., while teaching them the importance of pedestrian safety in the process. Hamlin also ran a special #11 FedEx Cares paint scheme for the 24th running of the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway that he designed with 22-year FedEx team member Rachee Powell, an active FedEx Cares supporter and volunteer within her local community. Their design was unveiled at an exclusive event at the FedEx Indianapolis hub the second largest FedEx Express hub in the United States where Hamlin and FedEx team members also participated in a donation drive for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana. 2016: Hamlin drove a one-of-a-kind #11 FedEx Cares paint scheme at the event in Sonoma Raceway in June. The car featured five charitable organizations JA Worldwide, Safe Kids Worldwide, National Urban League, the USO and the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation and the special design was unveiled via 360 virtual reality video during a luncheon in downtown San Francisco. Additionally, Hamlin joined FedEx team members and San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde for a special cleanup project in conjunction with the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation at Battery East, a park adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge. 2015: The #11 team helped FedEx celebrate a variety of charitable organizations during the 2015 season. As part of the FedEx 400 benefitting Autism Speaks weekend at Dover International Speedway in May, Hamlin drove a special #11 FedEx Cares paint scheme that highlighted 10 organizations: The American Red Cross, Autism Speaks, Direct Relief, the March of Dimes, Safe Kids, JA Worldwide, United Negro College Fund, FIRST, Arbor Day Foundation and St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. In the fall, Hamlin visited Memphis and teamed up with the NBA s Grizzlies point guard and fellow #11 Mike Conley for a basketball shooting contest on Veteran s Day to raise money for the USO. Hamlin also stopped by the Target House, a long-term housing facility in the St. Jude network, to meet with children for a fun afternoon of painting. Hamlin donated $11,000 to St. Jude through the Denny Hamlin Foundation as part of the program. 4

FedEx Racing Commitment to Community 2014: 2014 marked the seventh-consecutive season that Hamlin and the FedEx Racing Team raised awareness for the March of Dimes and March for Babies initiatives. The special #11 FedEx Office/March of Dimes paint scheme raced at Texas Motor Speedway in April, and the team hosted 2014 March of Dimes national ambassador Aidan Lamothe at the track. Additionally, during the fourth-annual FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover (Del.), the entire #11 team filled a FedEx truck full of toys from a nearby Toys R Us and donated them to Autism Delaware for use during the race weekend inside a special hospitality area designated for families with children with autism. The toys were selected from the Toys R Us 10 Toys that Speak to Autism list that the company establishes each year with Autism Speaks. FedEx also helped raise funds for Autism Speaks through a special program allowing fans to have their names printed on the #11 FedEx Freight/Autism Speaks Toyota for an $11 donation. 2013: Hamlin and the FedEx Racing Team again used the NASCAR platform to raise awareness for charitable organizations in 2013, including special #11 paint schemes for the March of Dimes at Texas in April and Autism Speaks at Dover in June, in conjunction with the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks race weekend. In September, the March of Dimes recognized Hamlin with its highest honor, the prestigious Champion for Babies Award. Hamlin became just the fourth recipient of the award, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Joe Namath, golf legend Arnold Palmer and veteran broadcaster Greg Gumbel. Hamlin accepted the award at the March of Dimes Volunteer Leadership Conference and Gala in Washington, D.C. Joining the US Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross, FedEx, Hamlin and Joe Gibbs helped spread the message of disaster preparedness around the annual America s Small Business Summit. Speaking to news media and small business owners, Hamlin and Gibbs provided critical information for small business owners to better respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of employees and customers. 2012: The FedEx Racing Team highlighted immediate relief and ongoing recovery efforts following major disasters that struck different parts of the country. Prior to the race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in May, Hamlin and #11 FedEx crew members visited nearby Tuscaloosa, Ala., on the one-year anniversary of the devastating tornadoes that ripped through the area in FedEx helped donate and deliver appliances to the first house rebuilt in the Alberta City neighborhood, and made a $10,000 donation to the local chapter of The Salvation Army. In the fall, Superstorm Sandy caused extensive damage along the east coast, including major flooding and power outages in New York City and surrounding areas. In addition to the tireless efforts of FedEx team members, who volunteered their time to get much-needed supplies into the area, Hamlin and the #11 crew flew into Newark, N.J., prior to NASCAR s season-finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, to pitch in. The team helped unload a truck full of supplies donated by FedEx to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, volunteered at the facility and delivered a truck full of frozen turkeys to a food shelter in the area one week before Thanksgiving. Also during the NASCAR season, FedEx helped raise awareness for the March of Dimes with a special #11 FedEx Office/March of Dimes paint scheme at Texas in April, and Autism Speaks through its title sponsorship of the FedEx 400 benefitting Autism Speaks at Dover (Del.) International Speedway in June. 5

FedEx Racing Commitment to Community 2011: Disaster preparedness was again the program s focus in 2011, as the Race to Prepare initiative reached local communities near San Francisco, Louisville, Kansas City and Dallas. FedEx made $10,000 donations to each of the local chapters of the American Red Cross in those markets, and to date, more than 1,000 children have participated in the program. At Texas Motor Speedway in April, Hamlin ran a specially designed #11 FedEx/March of Dimes Toyota to raise awareness for the organization. The car was designed by Dallas-area twins and healthy survivors of the March of Dimes program, who traveled to Joe Gibbs Racing in Huntersville, N.C., and with the help of Hamlin, designed the car from a blank white canvas. 2009/2010: With disaster relief and preparedness as the program s focus, Hamlin and the #11 team joined FedEx to present new Disaster Response Units (DRU) to the Salvation Army chapters in Washington, D.C. and Boston, and then worked with the American Red Cross for Race to Prepare workshops with school-aged children in Indianapolis, Richmond, Philadelphia, Chicago and Atlanta. The events focused attention on the simple steps families can take to prepare themselves for disasters of all types, while featuring fun racing-themed activities also marked another year working with the March of Dimes. In addition to racing a special #11 March of Dimes Toyota at Phoenix International Raceway in April, FedEx and Hamlin worked to raise awareness for the March of Dimes by encouraging financial support of the March for Babies walks. 2008: FedEx supported community service agencies in Boston, Washington D.C., Indianapolis and Los Angeles to assist with their mission of providing food to those in need. Hamlin and the #11 FedEx Racing Team delivered new Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles to the agencies on behalf of FedEx, enabling them to more efficiently serve their community while supporting a continued commitment to new technologies. Each visit also brought large groups of FedEx team members who volunteered their time to assist the groups. Also in 2008, FedEx Racing teamed up with the March of Dimes to support the annual March for Babies. After a kick-off event in Dallas, Hamlin raced a special #11 March of Dimes paint scheme in Phoenix. The event raised awareness and funds for the organization. 2007: The FedEx commitment to children s health initiatives came to life in the form of the FedEx Wear Your Heart on Your Helmet program. Over the course of the season, FedEx worked with children s hospitals in seven NASCAR race markets, and also with the Make-A- Wish Foundation, to find patients interested in designing the race helmet Hamlin would wear in 11 NASCAR Cup Series races. The creativity of the children led to great designs that renowned helmet designer Jason Beam then transferred onto the helmets Hamlin wore on the race track. Following the season, all 11 race-worn helmets were put up for auction and cumulatively raise more than $20,000 to benefit St. Jude Children s Research Hospital in Memphis. By season s end, Hamlin and the FedEx team had visited children s hospitals in Los Angeles, Richmond, Dallas, Boston, Chicago and Kansas City while meeting with Make-A-Wish program participants at several races throughout the season. FedEx generously presented each participating hospital with a donation of $25,000, and presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation with a donation of $50, : Hamlin and the FedEx Racing Team made special deliveries to five children s hospitals, where Hamlin was presented with specially designed helmets for him to wear in Cup Series races in the hospital s home market. In addition to donations on behalf of FedEx for $25,000, the events featured activities for the patients and staff. 6

Denny Hamlin Biography Denny Hamlin Driver, #11 FedEx Toyota Camry Birthdate: November 18, 1980 Height: 6 0 Hometown: Chesterfield, Va. Weight: 160 Resides: Cornelius, N.C. Denny Hamlin enters his 13th full season driving the #11 FedEx Toyota in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2018 with Joe Gibbs Racing and third-year crew chief Mike Wheeler. Hamlin has won 31 races in 434 career starts at stock-car racing s highest level, and has captured the checkered flag in at least one race in 12 straight seasons since bursting onto the scene with two victories and Rookie of the Year honors in The 37-year-old Chesterfield, Va., native has contended in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs in 11 of 12 years behind the wheel of the #11 car. Hamlin jumpstarted his 2017 campaign by capturing his third career Duel victory (2008, 2014) during Daytona Speedweeks, eventually scoring two more regular season wins after dominating performances at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. He also added two Coors Light Pole awards to his season accomplishments one at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway during the Playoffs and one during the season-finale race weekend at Homestead-Miami (Fla.). Overall, Hamlin tied career-bests with 15 top-fives and 22 top-10 finishes en route to finishing sixth in the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series standings. As a part of the Series new stage-based race format that rewards drivers with additional opportunities to earn points throughout an event, Hamlin also collected four stage wins and 248 total Stage points throughout the season, the seventh highest total Stage points earned by an individual driver. His 2016 season began triumphantly when he claimed the prestigious Daytona 500 win his first-ever Daytona victory in a historic finish, edging out Martin Truex Jr. by.01 seconds. Hamlin went on to score two more wins during the 2016 season with Wheeler guiding the #11 FedEx team towards Victory Lane. He notched his first road course win at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) after seizing the lead with only 10 laps remaining, and saw success at his home track, Richmond, with a Coors Light pole award and Federated Auto Parts 400 win in overtime. Hamlin also won the season-opening Sprint Unlimited exhibition race for the second time in three years, adding his third Sprint Unlimited win to his résumé. He finished sixth in the 2016 Cup Series points standings. Hamlin won a pair of races in 2015, including his fifth-career victory at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and the Chase opener at Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway, advancing to the Challenger Round of the playoffs and finishing ninth in the final point standings. At Martinsville in March, Hamlin held off a hard-charging Brad Keselowski to the finish line to clinch a Chase berth. A late-race strategy call gave Hamlin a front row spot on the final restart, and he motored past Jeff Gordon for the lead and win. Hamlin was also victorious in the prestigious Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway in May, captured three Coors Light pole awards and secured 20 top-10 finishes. 7

Denny Hamlin Biography Hamlin had an up-and-down 2014 season that saw him advance all the way to the Championship 4 at Homestead- Miami (Fla.) Speedway in the new, knockout-style Chase format. Hamlin started the season off strong, with back-to-back wins in a pair of exhibition restrictor plate races at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. First, he led in every segment and held off the field in the Sprint Unlimited, his second victory in the event (2006). He followed that up with a win in the Duel qualifying race, also his second (2008), which gave him a second row starting position in the Daytona 500. Hamlin fell just one spot short of becoming the first driver to sweep SpeedWeeks when he crossed the finish line second to Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Great American Race. Once the Cup Series got into the bulk of the schedule, the FedEx Racing Team overcame many hurdles to position them for a Chase berth. Hamlin missed the race at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway in March after what was later discovered to be a piece of metal in his eye, and during the summer, Hamlin and the team were docked 75 points for a rules infraction after finishing third at Indianapolis. However, the new Chase format announced at the beginning of the year would include each race winner from the regular season. That win came for Hamlin at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in May. Despite a 34thplace starting position, Hamlin immediately moved towards the front and led for the first time on Lap 32. In total, he led 12 of 188 laps, and held the lead when caution came out for a wreck behind him, freezing the field and giving Hamlin his first-career points-paying restrictor plate victory. In the new Chase format, the FedEx Racing Team embodied the survive and advance strategy to move on after each of the three-race segments. The team got stronger as the Chase progressed, and as other drivers were eliminated during the first nine weeks of the playoffs, Hamlin found himself among the final four competitors alongside Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman and Joey Logano vying for the 2014 crown. During a thrilling final race in South Florida, Hamlin led 50 of 267 laps, and swapped places at the front of the field with each of the championship-contending drivers. During a caution with 15 laps remaining, crew chief Darian Grubb elected to keep the #11 machine on the track while others pitted, moving the FedEx team up to second for the ensuing restart. Hamlin passed Jeff Gordon in Turn 2 for the lead on older tires, and needed the race to run green to the checkered flag in hopes of holding off the hard-charging Harvick and Newman on fresher rubber. Unfortunately, a pair of late-race yellows foiled the FedEx team s strategy, and Hamlin was eventually gobbled up by drivers that pitted, finishing a disappointing seventh. Harvick went on to win the race and the championship, followed by runner-up Newman. Hamlin finished third in the final point standings, tied for his second-best season finish with his 2006 rookie year. Hamlin and the FedEx team had a disappointing 2013 campaign that saw the Virginia native miss four races due to a back injury and miss qualifying for the Chase for the Cup championship for the first time in his career. The season did end on a positive note, as Hamlin was victorious in the finale at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway, extending his number of consecutive seasons with at least one victory to eight. Hamlin also recorded a series-high five poles in Hamlin suffered a fractured vertebra in a last-lap crash at Auto Club (Calif.) Speedway on March 24 and missed the following four races, snapping his streak of 264 straight races in the #11 machine. He returned to action at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in May, driving the first 24 laps before giving way to substitute driver Brian Vickers. Top-five finishes at Darlington (S.C) and Charlotte in Hamlin s first two full races back gave the team optimism for a potential Chase wild card berth, but a long stretch of misfortune through the summer months dashed those hopes. Hamlin tallied four top-five finishes and eight top-10 results in 32 starts in 2013, leading 363 laps and finishing 23rd in the final Cup Series point standings. 8

Denny Hamlin Biography Hamlin enjoyed a rebound year in 2012, tying the series-high with five victories in his first campaign with new crew chief Grubb. The duo got off to a fast start, winning at Phoenix in just their second race together. Hamlin secured his second victory at Kansas in April, the 199th NASCAR win for car #11, making it the winningest number in series history after passing the famed #43. Back-to-back wins at Bristol (Tenn.) and Atlanta at the end of the regular season gave Hamlin and the FedEx team the top seed heading into the 10-race Chase playoff. Hamlin scored one win (New Hampshire) and two runner-up finishes in the Chase to end the season sixth in the final point standings. Hamlin recorded three poles in 2012 including at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and his final win of the season at New Hampshire was the 100th Cup Series victory for Joe Gibbs Racing. In 2011, the #11 team s lone win came at Michigan International Speedway in June, when a two-tire stop put Hamlin in front of the pack for a late-race restart, and he was able to hold off Matt Kenseth en route to victory lane. The victory enabled Hamlin to secure a wild card berth in the Chase, and he finished ninth in the final standings. Hamlin set the Cup Series alight in 2010, winning a series-high eight races and putting the FedEx Racing Team among the elite in the garage. Winning frequently, and on a wide variety of tracks, Hamlin held the points lead heading into the Chase before ultimately finishing second by the slimmest of margins. Season highlights included a late-race charge at Martinsville (Va.) that elevated the #11 team to a serious contender after a slow start to the season, two signature wins on the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway that helped stamp the team s authority on the series, and emotional wins at both Pocono (Pa.) and Richmond. The season was not without its fair share of drama off the track as well - as Hamlin fought through a serious knee injury and subsequent surgery during the 36-race schedule. The 2009 Cup Series season proved to be a coming of age campaign for Hamlin and the #11 team. A leadership role within Joe Gibbs Racing and a desire to turn continued success into a championship saw Hamlin make a late-season charge to lock up a spot in NASCAR s post-season, but Chase wins at Martinsville (Va.) and Homestead (Fla.) were ultimately negated by on-track problems in Fontana (Calif.), Charlotte (N.C.) and Talladega (Ala.). Hamlin finished the season fifth in the point standings, setting then-career best marks for wins, top-five finishes and total laps led. His impressive victories on various circuits proved Hamlin and his team were well positioned to be the primary challengers to reigning champion Jimmie Johnson moving forward. The 2008 Cup season was, by any definition, a season of change. As Joe Gibbs Racing made the move to a new manufacturer in Toyota, the Cup Series made the full-time move to the Car of Tomorrow, and Hamlin welcomed Kyle Busch as a teammate, the #11 FedEx team was hoping that change would also come in the form of a series championship effort. Despite making the Chase for the NASCAR Cup in both 2006 and 2007, the onus was on the team to translate regular season success into a charge down the stretch. The spring race at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway highlighted both the satisfaction of fully dominating an event and the speed with which that dominance can be undone. Hamlin started the 400-lap event from the pole and led an impressive 381 laps before a cut tire forced him to pit road with only 19 laps to go. A win on a cold, rainy day in Martinsville (Va.) earned Hamlin his sole Cup triumph of the season and a long-coveted Grandfather clock trophy. As Hamlin marched to his third-consecutive Chase, the team was hoping to avoid the letdown that marked the 2007 edition, but alas, it was not to be. After a mechanical failure in Dover (Del.) and a tremendous hit following a cut tire at Talladega (Ala.), Hamlin was all but eliminated from championship contention and finished the year in eighth place. The 2007 season built on a wildly successful 2006 rookie campaign and helped solidify Hamlin and the #11 team s status as a perennial championship contender. Hamlin quickly allayed fears that he would fall victim to the dreaded sophomore slump by kicking off the season with a string of solid results that catapulted him into the top-five in points. 9

Denny Hamlin Biography Hamlin s lone 2007 win came at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in July when a late-race two-tire change gave him the track position he needed and the opportunity to hold off Jeff Gordon en route to victory lane. On several occasions in 2007, dominating performances by Hamlin and the team were nullified by pit road mishaps, mechanical problems or penalties, yet the #11 team still maintained championship aspirations and a place near the top of the standings. Hamlin posted 12 top-five finishes and 18 top-10 results throughout the year, but ultimately settled for 12th place in the final standings. In 2006, Hamlin burst onto the scene with a win in the prestigious Budweiser Shootout exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway, and carried that early momentum into one of the most successful rookie campaigns in NASCAR history. On his way to becoming the first rookie to earn a spot in the Chase for the championship, Hamlin posted his first career Cup Series victory in dominating style at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. He captured three pole awards, finished third in the final point standings and earned 2006 Rookie of the Year honors. Hamlin s ascension to the highest levels of NASCAR came through a combination of skill, perseverance, a little bit of luck and a knack for delivering strong performances when given the opportunity. Each of Hamlin s debuts has come with caveats of additional opportunities (in the form of more races or permanent employment) should he meet or beat expectations, and he has absolutely shone in those instances. In his first NASCAR Truck Series race, Hamlin drove the Gibbs Performance Chevrolet to a 10th-place finish at Indianapolis Raceway Park on Aug. 6, Three months later, making his debut in the Busch (now Xfinity) Series at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, he recorded an eight-place finish for JGR. With Hamlin on his way to a fifth-place finish in the standings during his rookie Busch Series campaign, he was offered the unexpected opportunity to run the #11 FedEx Chevrolet at the end of the 2005 Cup Series season. Hamlin wasted no time in displaying his talent, posting three top-10 finishes in seven starts and winning the pole in Phoenix. His performances over the seven races he ran at the end of 2005 made him an easy choice to fill the seat of the #11 FedEx car for In addition to his success at the Cup level, Hamlin has put together an impressive resume in the Xfinity Series. He made his debut in 2004 and spent nearly three full seasons behind the wheel of the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet, before making the transition to Toyotas for JGR, Braun Racing and CJM beginning in In 153 total starts, Hamlin has racked up 14 wins and 20 poles. Hamlin now finds himself at the highest level of NASCAR, but he has been winning races since the age of seven when he began his career racing karts in the Junior Sportsman League. From the kart tracks of Virginia to the Cup Series, Hamlin has proved he can succeed at any level. In 2000, he was named Rookie of the Year at Southside Speedway in Richmond, Va., posting 11 top-five finishes that year. Just three years later, Hamlin celebrated his finest season in Late Models, recording 25 wins, 30 poles and 33 top-five finishes. In 1997, at age 16, Hamlin hit the track for his first season driving a Mini Stock car. The year was a resounding success as Hamlin became the youngest driver to win the NASCAR Mini Stock track championship at Langley (Va.) Speedway, and was named the 1997 NASCAR Mini Stock Rookie of the Year. Hamlin was dominating in the Junior Restricted League at age 12, earning the titles Amelia Motor Raceway track champion (junior restricted), Virginia Dirt Karting Association State Champion (Junior Champ) and World Karting Association Virginia Dirt Series State Champion (Junior Champ). He finished his Kart career at age 15 with 127 feature wins and five championships in three classes. Away from the track, Hamlin stays active whether playing golf, basketball or working out and spending time with friends. He remains a committed fan of Virginia Tech and the Washington Redskins, and can be found courtside for Charlotte Hornets home games. Hamlin and longtime girlfriend Jordan Fish welcomed their first daughter, Taylor, in January 2013 and their second child, daughter Molly, in August
