3 About the Kings Royal The Kings Royal is back bigger than ever in 2018, this time with another improved format that will give everyone a realistic chance to the make the final on the last night. Time Trials are still a thing of the past and the only change will be on the final night, which scraps the final rounds of heats and replaces them for a series of dashes that establish the starting positions in the A and B Mains giving everyone multiple chances to make the 50 lap feature race. With the recent announcement that the 2019 Australian Modified Sedan Title will come to IBRP Kingaroy Speedway in April 2019, the club is anticipating a 70 car field for this season s event. Based on this, the IBRP Kings Royal VI will pay out around $40,000 in cash with $26,000 of that paid out during the A Main alone. This year s winner will once again pocket a huge $10,000, but the most important thing for everyone taking part will be that fact that all competitors will be guaranteed a minimum of $200 for turning up and taking part in the biggest Modified Sedan event in the country. 4 Kings Royal History This will be the sixth running of the Kings Royal at IBRP Kingaroy Speedway. From what started as an idea to showcase our great sedan divisions has quickly become one of the biggest and richest paying Modified Sedan events in the country. After the Dashes there will be one last opportunity to make the feature through the Last Chance B Main. Minimum Guarantee $200 Every car will get at least $200 to start the weekend. Note the $200 IS NOT on top of prize money won from the A Main. If you finish 24 th in the A Main you will receive $300 only (not $300 plus the $200 minimum amount) Tow Money $100 Tow Money will only be paid to cars travelling from >450km (North of and including Rockhampton aswell as those south of and including Grafton) will receive the $100 Bonus Tow Money per car. Therefore the venue offers fantastic facilities that can be used throughout your stay at the Kings Royal, and site fees per night are extremely affordable and great value.

9 Help us, help you As the South Burnett Speedway club look to continue to grow and become the one of the strongest speedway clubs in the country, IBRP Kingaroy Speedway now sells IBRP racing products and American Racer KROY Tyres which are a medium compound. All products are sold a normal retail prices but the difference is 100% of the profits sold from these products go back into the prize pools to assist with putting on events like the Kings Royal, instead of lining other people s pockets. The club have just received a new shipment of 84 and 86 American Racer KROY tyres. Both sizes of tyres are available now. To arrange an order please contact the club. 10 Camping Camping arrangements for the Modified Sedan Kings Royal have been once again finalised with the South Burnett Show Society. The motivation behind this event is to ensure it is a safe, enjoyable and stress-free event for everyone involved especially those planning on camping at the venue. Obviously we would also like to make this the biggest Modified Sedan event on the annual calendar, so to ensure this event is a success for the South Burnett Speedway and the South Burnett Show Society, we have put the following procedures in place for the 2018 Kings Royal. This year on arrival to the venue, you will be required to pay the camping fees to the show society at the showground site office. From Thursday 25 th January at 9am, the Speedway club will take over control of the Showgrounds but will collect the camping fees on behalf of the Show Society. There is no need to book sites as there is plenty of room available and it will be first in best dressed for your favourite spots. If you re camping at the venue prior to Thursday morning which some people will, you will be required to pay the normal camping fees rates as set out by the Showgrounds, but on Thursday morning be prepared to come to the front gate at 9am to pay your 3 day super pass admission entry and receive your armband for the entire weekend. Camping Permit - $60 per site (FIXED price no matter if its 1, 2 or 3 nights) Please note - the Camping Permit is being collected by the Speedway club on behalf of the Show Society who will obviously be there all weekend and maintaining the facilities and carrying out camping permit checks regularly throughout the event. A site constitutes either your trailer, your caravan, your motorhome, your car, your swag or one tent. This fees is for camping for the entire weekend whether that is 1, 2 or 3 nights it is still only $60 for the entire weekend. The showgrounds has numerous good hot and cold showers, numerous toilet blocks and powered and non-powered sites. The power sites will fill up quick and can t be pre-booked so plan to bring alternative arrangements for power. The venue doubles as a caravan park and always has staff on the grounds. Also note, the camping price is fixed, and paid on first entry to the venue. On first entry to the venue, you will be required to pay for your camping permit, affix the permit/sticker to your camper-van, tent, swag, trailer or caravan and then you will be required to pay the admission price for the weekend.

If you lose your armband you will be required to purchase another one, just like what would happen at any concert or festival right around the country. Each day another different coloured armband will be used for the pit entry which will be affixed to your other arm. Gates will be staffed early each morning and after the show society staff, carry out morning camping permit checks and Kingaroy Speedway officials check admission tickets you will be able to enjoy the serenity of the Kingaroy Showground complex in readiness for the next night of the Kings Royal. We really would like everyone to have a wonderful time after racing each night, which is what speedway is all about, but we would like to encourage everyone camping at the venue to respect fellow campers and after midnight each night, keep music/loud noise to a minimum. The Kingaroy Speedway club will be running a canteen right throughout the weekend including doing breakfast from 6am daily and lunch from 10am daily. As always our food will remain at extremely affordable prices, so if you don t feel like cooking breakfast, let us do it for you. The Kings Royal is about showcasing Modified Sedan racing and creating an event that will be around for many, many years to come and of course make sure it is a success of the South Burnett Speedway Club.
