The team also finished in 2 nd with its best place at the Mercer County Championships. The move to Group 2 was tough and winning a 4 th sectional title in a row was not to be as Holmdel ran away with the title (and eventually ended up as State Group 2 Champions). The team still had a solid season and saw a lot of great performances along the way. Ryan Fischer led a very strong freshmen class as he set 2 new freshman course records (at Veterans Park and Washington Crossing Park). The freshmen team won three different invitationals in the frosh division Thompson Park Class Meet, Six Flags Wild Safari, and Mercer County Championships. This senior class is graduating with the following accomplishments: Group 1 State Champions (2009) Central NJ Group 1 Sectional Champions (2008, 2009, 2010) Patriot Division Champions (2010, 2011) The team is set up to have a great season next year as long as the underclassmen do as much preparation as this graduating senior class did over the summer.
