3 NORTHWEST STANDARD is published by the Pacific Northwest Region of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club. The purpose of this club is to exchange information, encourage the maintenance, preservation and restoration of Cadillac and LaSalle Automobiles & to promote social fellowship & fun among it s members. STEERING COLUMN OFFICERS: President V.P. V.P. Activities Treasurer Secretary Membership National Rep. Webmaster Editor BOARD: Ted Barber Bob Sondheim Don Miholovich Robert A. LeCoque Joni Reis Bob Sondheim Jerry Leighton Position Open Jerry Leighton Don Miholovich Jack Looney Joni Reis Jack Looney Scott Anderson OUR WEB SITE: NATIONAL: We are also on Facebook Though we are somewhat later than normal at getting our Calendar put together, we have made progress in that department. Thanks go out to Joni, Don, and Jerry for meeting with me recently to hammer out most of our 2017 activities. (See page 3) Our next event is on April 23 with a driving tour to Bell s Studebaker Museum near Bellingham. (See page 5) James and Stephanie Bell have a large collection of various vintage Studebaker products including those of the horse drawn nature. This should be a very interesting collection to visit so, plan on attending. Please give me a quick RSVP so I can tell the Bells how many folks plan to attend. At the Leland Party last month, we decided to shift the publication schedule of our Northwest Standard to quarterly. We will supplement this schedule with updates and event information sent out as needed via the club system. Both Joni and I find ourselves very busy these days and we seem to have to hunt up content for the monthly version. (Hint Hint! We need articles from the membership as well!) So, we will give this format a try and see how it works out. Again, a call for articles!!! We all have interesting cars with interesting historical or pursuit stories. Forward them to Joni or myself and we will include them in a future edition. All for now, Bob LeCoque Editors Note: We have decided to Send out the PNWR Newsletter on a quarterly basis. This will be supplemented on line and by mail with updates for events and other pertinent information. Joni Reis 3

6 Leland Birthday Dinner On a cold and blustery day in February we met at the Verrazano s restaurant in Federal Way. The food was wonderful and the service good! It overlooks the sound and has a nice balcony for summer events. We want to thank Bob Sondheim, VP of Activities, for his research in locating the restaurant. With Bob s culinary background you can be sure that the food will be good. It was nice to have long time member Ted Barber join us. We always enjoy his Leland comments. Bob LeCoque had a short meeting, but mostly we enjoyed catch up and car talk. What a enjoyable group of people! We hope to see some of you more often. Joni 6
