I hope this is a sign of how good all our events will be this year. Thanks to all who helped and participated. We do not have any flying events scheduled for a while. There is indoor flying in Yakima, see the attached flyer. Happy Flying, Bob Iverson CHIPMUNK KIT AUCTION Bidding is OPEN, and current bid is $175. Minimum $5 advancements bids, No maximum bid. Bidding will be closed at our February 6th Membership meeting and the winner will take home his/her purchase. Final bidding will be allowed at the meeting. This kit was donated to the club to be auctioned as a fundraiser. Starting price was $ Feel free to bid more than the five-dollar minimum increase. I will continue to send out s with the current bid increase. The high bidder's name will be known when bidding is closed. 2 2018 MLRCM DUES & LOCK COMBINATION Club annual membership dues for 2018 were due on Jan. 1. Junior/Youth membership (for those under 19 as of July 1, 2017) is $5.00. Family membership (spouse and junior/youth children of a paid-up General/Adult member) is $5.00. General/Adult membership remains at $60.00 and Senior (65 and over) is $40.00 This newsletter contains a membership application for your convenience. The gate and shed lock combination at the club flying site will be changed February 1, Those who pay 2018 dues will receive the new combo. See our club web site for members who have paid 2018 dues. Remember, current AMA membership is also required to fly at the club flying site. FREE RC ITEMS------FREE Many RC items have been added to the Free Table at McKay Field. The added items are from a recent donation by Sue Ellestad of a large amount of misc. RC stuff. Look at the items and take what you want. Since we have very limited storage space, the items not taken and used will be disposed of before flying season. MOSES LAKE R/C MODELERS General Meeting Minutes, January 2, 2018 Present: Bob Iverson, Tom Keilman, Earl Wheelock, Corky Betcher, John Cheatham, Jim Bennett, David Eck, Don Ness, and Jim Tabor. Meeting was held at Bob s office. Tabor read minutes of Dec. Club and Board meetings. Tabor informed those present about the NW Model Hobby Expo to be held Jan. 26 through 29 at Monroe, WA. He also stated that it would probably be a good place to sell some of the donated RC items that the club has on hand. Members were informed that the 2018 combination for locks at the club flying site had been selected by the Board. The combo has not, however, been changed as yet. Members examined the array of donated RC items that the club has offered to members. Some items for sale and many at no cost. Several items were bought and/or taken. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.. MOSES LAKE R/C MODELERS Board Meeting Minutes, December 20, 2017 Present: Bob Iverson, Larry Curtis, Tom Keilman, Gale Vasquez, and Jim Tabor Jim read minutes of the Nov. Board meeting. Selected the 2018 combination for locks at the flying site. Combination will be changed after the Polar Bear Fly-In. The Polar Bear Fly-In will have no prizes or landing fee. Chili and fixings will be provided for lunch. Gale discussed the model airplane build he has had in his classroom. Approved the purchase of gift cards for Sue Ellestad and her helpers to show our club s appreciation for the donated RC items. Meeting adjourned about 9:00 PM.
