European Union market of Barite The EU32 countries contributed 4,5% of world barites production in The largest producer amongst the EU is Turkey, which produced about 50% of the EU32 production. The two key producers have been Ado Mining (part of the Ado Group), with operations in Konya, and Baser Mining Industry, with operations near Isparta in southern Turkey. However, Baser has pulled out of the barite mining business and Ado is left as the key producer in Turkey.
