1 2012 FAI World Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft Bulgaria - 25 th August to 1 st September 2012 Bulletin 1 The 2012 FAI World Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft (juniors and seniors) will be organised by the Bulgarian Aeromodelling Federation (BAF) from 25 th August to 1 st September - town Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. Competition Rules Classes : F2A, F2B, F2C and F2D World Championships will be run according to: - FAI Sporting Code Section 4 Aeromodelling, Volume ABR 2012 Edition - FAI Sporting Code Section 4 Aeromodelling Volume F2 Control Line model aircraft, 2012 Edition - FAI Code of Ethics Bulgarian Aeromodelling Federation 188A, Slivnitsa blvd., ap Sofia, Bulgaria - Anti-doping : As per rule B.3.7 of FAI Sporting Code Section 4 Aeromodelling, Volume ABR 2012 Edition, if a competitor has to take, for a medical condition, any of the substances listed on the WADA Prohibited List then he must have a Therapeutic Use Exemption from the FAI. FAI valid sporting licences will be mandatory for each competitor, team manager, team manager assistant and mechanics. Official languages The official languages will be English and Bulgarian. Visa requirements Visitors from most countries do not require a visa to enter in Bulgaria. In case of doubt, please enquire in your own country. 1

Classifications and awards There will be independent individuals (junior and senior) and team classifications. Winners will be awarded with FAI medals and diplomas and the Organizers prizes. 4 Entry fees 255 Euros for the team manager or the team manager assistant 255 Euros per adult competitor 150 Euros per woman competitor Junior competitors - free of charge 50 Euros per F2D mechanic 25 Euros per supporter The preliminary entry form is attached to this Bulletin. Deadlines 1. Intent to enter team with number of competitors for each class (Preliminary Entry Form): 29 th February Official entry (Final Entry Form) including competitors names: 30 th April Receipt of all entry fees: 30 th April 2012 Entry fees submitted after 1 st May +10 % penalty. Any submitted after 15 th June + 20 % penalty. Entry fees will not be accepted on arrival. Protest fees All protests must be presented in writing to the contest director and must be accompanied by the deposit of a fee. The amount of this fee shall be 35 Euros. The deposit is returned only if the protest is upheld. Model aircraft fuel Fuel will be provided for the official flights in F2A and F2D classes. Fuel and components including training fuel for F2A and F2D will be available upon request; information and the Fuel Order Form will be delivered in Bulletin 2. Practice sites We have practice sites available on the competition site or with in a 5 minute drive. Official Meals Breakfast on the spot 4 Euros per person Lunch or dinner on the spot (starter, main course, dessert) 10 Euros per person There will be drinks, snacks and food available to purchase on the field all the days of the Championships. Banquet: 35 Euros per person Insurance The organisers have arranged insurance cover for all pilots for model accidents involving injury to others and damage to property. The organisers are not responsible for any other Injury, loss, theft or damage to persons or property. Personal and travel insurance purchased before arrival in Bulgaria is recommended. For EU citizens, health care is covered under Social Health Care. For non-eu citizens or anyone seeking private health care, insurance is recommended.
