1 National Ski Team Selection Criteria Eligibility The SSA will consider for selection only those SSA members in good standing who have a valid FIS license, and have completed physical testing in line with the NAC Protocol in May of the current year. Furthermore, an athlete shall be ineligible for consideration if previously suspended or removed from team membership without having been reinstated by the National Committee (NAC). Also, athletes who have previously declined an offer of team membership shall not be automatically offered team membership regardless of results achieved during the competition season unless that athlete specifically requests consideration from the SSA Program Director and the Chairman of the NAC. Team status does not guarantee funding from the NAC or SSA for competition or preparation. Athletes who have been given individual performance criteria to meet will be subject to those specific criteria and not to general criteria as outlined below. Athletes must adhere to the SSA Values and Code of Conduct in order to be eligible for selection. Qualification Standards Athletes that have achieved an A, B, C or Development Qualification Standard are all members of the National Ski Team. The initial provisional period is 1 July to 31 October with re-evaluation post the Southern Winter and Spring Conditioning camps. Final provisional selections for the Northern Winter will be published post the October NAC meeting.
