2 Note : 4 players will represent MP State at the National Championships. Winning players representing MP State at National Chess Championships shall be entitled for dress code only prescribed as per AICF. No TA DA and entry fees shall be provided as the same is covered in prize money. The organizer has full right to change the above condition as per MPCA Lodging & Boarding: 1.Free Dormitory Accommodation will be provided to all the official participants and one Accompanying official (manager ) for full team nominated by concerned affiliated units from 6 am 21 st September onwards. Accompanying persons & Special entries have to make their own arrangements. To avail this facility on payment basis may contact the organizers. 2.Hotel accommodation with breakfast (fixed menu) and dinner (Buffet) will be provided for just INR 800/person /day (Quad (4) occupancy AC Room around venue). Only Rooms for INR500/person/day(Quad (4) occupancy) In association with OYO. Players and accompanying persons availing any of above facilities have to inform the same on or before 18 th September Grace Time: Grace Time/ WO Time is 15 Minutes. System of play: The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE laws of chess & FIDE swiss system with 8 rounds with time control 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment Chess Clocks: Each participating State Chess Association must provide at least one clock in working order for every two players entered into the Championship. Tie-break : Tie Break 1: Direct Encounter (The results of the players in the same point group) Tie Break 2: Cut Buchholz Tie-Breaks (variable with parameter) Tie Break 3: Buchholz Tie-Breaks (variable with parameter) Tie Break 4: Sonneborn-Berger Tie-Breaks. Protest : Protest, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.500/-within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld. Appeals Committee: Before the commencement of the tournament, a five member appeals committee shall be formed by the organizers from the appeal committee members

4 for each category. All the members and reserves shall be from different districts. No member of the Committee can vote on a dispute in which a player from his own District is involved and in such case(s) the reserves member(s) shall take his place in the committee. Tournament Committee: The organisers will form a Tournament Committee (TC) for the smooth conduct of the State Championship. Interpretation: For interpretation of the rule(s) and deciding any point not covered by the above rules of the tournament, the decision of the TC shall be final and binding on all. The TC has every right to make any addition or amendment to these rules, without notice. However, such changes/ or inclusion will be subject to AICF/MPCA clearance. Such changes will, however, be displayed in the tournament hall. Withdrawal: If any player withdraws from the last two rounds in any State Championship on medical grounds, he/she should undergo treatment by a Doctor recommended and supervised by the tournament committee. Disqualification: No participant will leave the venue before the Prize Distribution function without the permission of the Chief Arbiter. The participants disregarding this rule will be suspended for one year. MPCA Registration: All participants in the State Championship should be registered with MPCA for the year Players registration form is available on our online system. The procedure of registration and payment is as follows : Open and click online payments. Accepts terms & condition, and click on proceed. Select state (Madhya Pradesh) and other in corporate type. Select Madhya Pradesh Chess Association. Select type of payment and fill the mandatory fields. Click the payment button and confirm it. Choose option of payment and receive online receipt. AICF Registration: All participants in the State Championship should be registered with AICF for the year District bodies should ensure the compliance of the same failing which entry is liable to be rejected. Age Limit: Age certificate for age category as per AICF norms. In case age certificate is not submitted with registration form player shall not be entitled for age category prize. If any doubt arises about the claimed age of a player, the Tournament Committee has the right to refer the player during the championship for a due evaluation of age by competent medical experts. A player, if declared over -age by such experts, shall not continue in the championship and shall be reported to AICF. Protest about the age of players may be made to the Chief Arbiter in writing along with a fee of Rs.500/- per player. This will not be refunded. No protest about over age of a player will be entertained after 2nd round of the championship. Registration forms duly filled up along with ID proof and proof of deposit of tournament entry fees, DCA registration fees and late fees if applicable may be sent by to dcajabalpur@gmail.com. The hard copies of the same should be deposited with the Arbiter before start of the tournament. All entries along with the registration fees must be deposited on mail or physically with the District Chess Association, Jabalpur on or before last dates. Organiser s have the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason. Late Fees: Late fees of Rs. 200/- shall be applicable after 18 th September 2018 strictly. Eligibility: (a) Every affiliated Unit of MPCA can nominate Four players. If any association fails to send its quota, the vacancies so caused will not be filled. All entries including Special entries should come through the concerned affiliated Unit of MPCA. However, the MPCA will have the right to accept or reject any Donor entry without assigning any reason thereof. In Service players or any player who is registered with any affiliated body of AICF shall be entitled to play in this tournament after submitting NOC from the respective affiliated body.

5 Tournament Venue is 6 km-approx away from Jabalpur Railway Station and 8 kms from ISBT. There are public transport like Metro buses and Auto rickshaw available for the venue from bus stand and railway station.jabalpur is well connected by Rail, bus, flight. VENUE PICS
