2 World Singles Championships 2016: Bulletin No. 3 WORLD BOWLING and Qatar Bowling Federation proudly present the World Singles Championships 2016 Bulletin no. 3 for WORLD BOWLING member federations. The World Singles Championships 2016 will be hosted by World Bowling and Qatar Bowling Federation. Please take special note of the deadlines presented in this bulletin, chapter 6. It may not be possible for federations to enter the championships not meeting this entry deadline. In this bulletin the following items are presented: 1. Schedule 2. Hotel 3. Qatar Bowling Center 4. Forms and deadlines Eligibility to participate Each member federation who is current paid up member of World Bowling may register a maximum of 2 men and 2 women to participate in the 2016 World Singles Championships. Schedule 2016 World Singles Championship The premise of participation for the schedule is a maximum of 120 women and 120 men, i.e. converted to 240 athletes, who can be divided in other alternatives if necessary. The number of athletes in 2012 was 57 women and 71 men = 128 athletes in total. On December 10, 2016 an Anti-Doping Seminar will be held in Doha, for the benefit of coaches, administrators and athletes. The latest developments in Anti-Doping and WADA will be discussed. A registration form is attached for your use if interested in participating in the Seminar. On December 11, 2016 a Referee Seminar will be held in Doha. Attendees completing the course will be certified by World Bowling. A registration form is attached for your use if interested in participating in the Seminar. 2. Official Hotel The official hotel is the Doha Marriott. There are limited number of rooms available at the hotel. So please do not wait until the last day of the deadline to make the reservation. Various Facilities and Services Website Various information related to the WSC 2016 is available at 2016WSC.worldbowling.org. Press Area One meeting room will be used for the press. Space will be provided for approximately 60 press officials. All press officials will be connected through a wireless network to access the internet at no cost. Press officials are expected to bring their own laptops. A printer will be available. Press Conferences Sufficient space for press conferences will be provided after the conclusion of each discipline and/or when necessary. Result Services The latest technology will be in use both for the press officials and for accumulation and presentation of scores and standings. Scores will be shown in the venue on appropriate display units. Online results will be available as well. Bus Services All delegations of the championships staying in the host hotel will be met in the Doha International Airport in Doha. Similar service will be provided for departures. Equipment Storage Ball Park in the bowling centre will be used to store the equipment. A secure system for storage will be in place. There will be an easy and short distance from Ball Park to the lanes. Shipping Equipment to bowling centre Bowling equipment may be shipped to the bowling centre prior to the Championships. DUCSAN GODVIN MOBILE: Farewell Banquet The banquet will be held on December 9 in the evening at a location to be decided. Transportation from the official hotel will be provided for all registered members of delegations if the Banquet venue is not within walking distance of the Official Hotel. Lane pattern As of January 1, 2016 only one pattern will be used for all disciplines in the championship. The lane pattern category will be medium. The selected pattern within that category will be announced at the Team Managers meeting on December 2, Visas Application of Visas will be handled by the Qatar Bowling Federation. The entry form and passport copy should be sent as soon as possible but no later than two months and one month respectively to Qatar Bowling Federation before the start of the Championships. The Qatar Bowling Federation stresses that the visa process may take a long time. Please start this process as soon as possible. There will be no cost for visas obtained through the QBF. 5. Various Fees WSC 2016 Entry Fee The WSC 2016 entry fee is US$ 275. This fee is payable for all delegations, including players, coaches, managers, medical personnel, Head of Delegations and other officials in each federation s delegation. WSC 2016 Supporters Fee The WSC 2016 Supporter fee is US$ 125.

9 Included in the Supporter fee is - transportation to/from Doha International Airport to the official hotel - transportation to/from official hotel bowling centre and vice versa - banquet ticket - welcome gift Prepayment of Fees All fees must be prepaid and payment is to be received by WORLD BOWLING on or before November 15, 2016 It is preferred that payments are done by credit card. Payment instructions are available on the World Bowling website, If federation wants to wire transfer the payment to WORLD BOWLING bank account, please contact the WWC office on 2016WSC@worldbowling.org. Kindly note that all bank charges must be paid by the federation.
