1 The National Association of Masonic Clay Shooting Societies President: The RW Deputy Grand Master Jonathan Spence Vice President: The ME Second Grand Principal Russell Race DL in conjunction with Announce The First International Masonic Clay Shooting Championship Cup Event to be held on Saturday, and cordially invite subscribing Freemasons who are Clay Target Shooters to join us from The Grand Lodge of Scotland The Grand Lodge of Ireland to compete with the Provinces, Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London, Channel Islands and Crown Dependencies under the auspices of the United Grand Lodge of England in a 100-bird Sporting Contest The 2019 Inaugural Event will be held at Doveridge Clay Sports Club, Ashbourne Derbyshire. with a flurry of prizes to be awarded: Gold Silver and Bronze medals awarded to each Competing Country in each of their categories of Top Masonic Team, Veteran Masonic High Gun, Lady Freemason, Junior, Gentleman Guest, Lady Guest Thanks to generous sponsorship from Nutrition Group plc, a Redolfi EOS Over & Under Shotgun will be awarded to The Masonic Highest Gun and, for the overall winning International Top Team, the Challenge Cup itself, and gold medals. silver & bronze medals to the first and second runners up The winning National Team will be invited to propose the venue for the 2020 Championship. 2 Open to all subscribing Masonic clay target shooters from England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales and Crown dependencies This Championship seventy acre Midlands Shooting Ground has been chosen for its excellent facilities, layout, and its highly accessible geographical location in the centre of England. Drivetime from Manchester airport is just over an hour and East Midlands airport approx 35 mins. Drivetime from the Holyhead ferry is approx. 2hrs 50mins. The Details: The International Masonic Clay Shooting Challenge Cup Event will be over 100 targets English Sporting targets with a minimum of 12 stands, and the English CPSA Rules of Shooting will apply; and will be held on Saturday, September 7th 2019 at; Doveridge Clay Sports Shooting Ground Eaton Hall Farm, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 5LN Contact details Telephone: enquiries@doveridgeclaysports.co.uk Registration Will be open from 8.30 a.m. Hot Tea and Coffee together with Breakfast Butties will be available at Registration. THE PRIZES (how it works) Each Country can field multiple entries, whether they are individual shooters or group entries. We are only constrained in final numbers by the Shooting Ground s capacity, and we will do our best to honour entries in order received without compromising safety or overcrowding. 5 Entry Rules & Eligibility Masonic Competitors must be Members of a Craft Lodge under: The United Grand Lodge of England The Grand Lodge of Scotland The Grand Lodge of Ireland Any other Constitution recognised by UGLE A Lodge of Lady Freemasons recognised by UGLE All competitors must also have been born in the country they wish to shoot for OR have a permenant postal address in that country. Guest Entries must accompany a Masonic Entry Non-Masonic Ladies must be related to Members of a Craft Lodge Juniors must be under 18 years of age on the date of the Championships and related to Members of a Craft Lodge Veterans must be 65 or over on the day of the Championships and must be subscribing members of a Craft Lodge All entries should be covered by 3rd Party Liability Insurance The Championships will be shot under the CPSA rules for English Sporting The Championships will consist of 100 targets Only English Shot sizes 7 to 9 may be used No larger than 28 gram (1 oz.) cartridges may be used No home or reloaded cartridges to be used Release triggers are forbidden Guns should be carried in a slip or case Hearing & Eye protection must be used Local or Ground rules will also apply Both Fibre and Plastic Wads are permitted on this ground Steel Shot is not permitted.
