1 Ph.D. Program (Chemical Science) August 2018 Session SHORTLISTING CRITERIA: An applicant must fulfill the criteria listed in the table below in order to be eligible for appearing in the interview. S.N. Criteria Applicable to 1. Master s degree in Science with a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DST INSPIRE etc.), or other equivalent fellowships. 2. A. Master s degree in Science and a valid fellowship through project. B. Minimum one year experience in the project (s) at on the date of commencement of the session i.e. 01 August C. CSIR Scientists working at respective lab. All the external candidates & all internal candidates having their own fellowship. Candidates working in various projects of. 3 Instructions/information for Short listed Candidates: 1. AcSIR has signed an agreement with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia for a joint badged PhD program, whereby an AcSIR Ph.D. student would have the opportunity of conducting his/her doctoral research under joint supervision and enrolment arrangements of RMIT (Australia) and AcSIR (India). Upon successful completion of the Program the names and badges of both RMIT and AcSIR will appear on the Degree Certificate awarded. There will be exchange of students where the AcSIR students must undertake between 6 and 12 months of the Program at RMIT's Melbourne Campus in the final stages of candidature. The selected candidate may have opportunity to take part in this program, subject to fulfillment of terms and conditions of the MoU. 2. Candidates must bring the signed copy of the Online Application and Proof of eligibility, as mentioned above, which are mandatory for appearing in the interview. 3. The candidate may appear for the interview through skype also. Although their selection would be provisional subject to verification of documents at the time of joining. 4. No TA/DA shall be paid to the shortlisted candidates for attending the interview and they will have to make their own arrangement for accommodation. 5. Candidates who have applied with JRF/SRF/INSPIRE fellowship must have a valid and tenable fellowship. 6. Candidates must confirm their attending the interview by sending a Statement of Purpose (SOP) by to acsircsmcri@csmcri.res.in immediately not later than The candidate willing to appear for interview through skype, must provide their skype ID along with the SOP. 8. Any applicant who fulfills the short listing criteria mentioned above but his/her name does not appear in the list of short listed candidates for interview may communicate to the program coordinator at the following E mail address: acsircsmcri@csmcri.res.in Such candidates are requested to appear for the interview with valid documents on the date and time as in the Interview Schedule on AcSIR website.
