2 MATCH INFORMATION/SELECTION: For selection information, please reference the USA Shooting website. This match will serve to select the World Cup USA (March 2014 Ft. Benning, GA) and will be the first stage of selection for the following matches: remaining 2014 World Cups, World Championships (September 2014 Spain), and CAT games (October 2014 Mexico). The second and final stages will be held in May at Ft. Benning, GA. DATES: Arrival (earliest): February 23 Departure (latest): March 4 Official Training: February 24 Competition: February 25- March 3 LOCATION: USA Shooting Center, Bldg 3, United States Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, Colorado ELIGIBILITY: This event is open to all U.S. competitors only. International guest will not be permitted due to range capacity and selection procedures. All competitors must be current members of USA Shooting. Finals eligibility: The top eight shooters of the Open category in each event will compete in a final. LIMITED SPACE: It is possible that this event will reach competitor capacity prior to the entry deadline. Please secure your space in this event early. Please register online at Competitions Interactive Calendar 2014 Pistol World Champ Enter. The database will take you to your membership account, where you must scroll to the bottom of the page, ensuring all information is correct. Click next and follow through. If you need assistance logging into your account, please call Amber Aragon at GENERAL: All registered and paid participants are eligible for the finals (top eight for Women s Air Pistol, Men s Air Pistol, Women s Sport Pistol, Men s Free Pistol and top six for Men s Rapid Fire). There will be no finals for junior competitors. The Shooting Center recently went through a renovation and is fully equipped with electronic targets! All matches and finals will be shot on electronic targets. RULES: Current USA Shooting Rules will govern this competition. All other rules shall be enforced. It is the shooters responsibility to be familiar with these rules. CLASSIFICATION, CATEGORIES and AWARDS: Classification awards will not be given at this event. There will be awards presented to the top three finishers in the open categories at the completion of the finals for that event. Awards for the open categories will be presented at the conclusion of the match. Awards will take place in the finals hall. JURY: A Competition Jury will be appointed prior to the start of the match. TRAINING: Training will be squadded as pre-event training. This information will be posted one day prior to the training session in the ranges as well as online under Event > Match Information > 2014 Pistol World Champs. Open training may be available and will based upon match entries and range availability.

3 SQUADDING: All matches will be squadded randomly the first day and by score the subsequent days. Squadding will be posted on the website under the Events tab > Match Information > 2014 Pistol World Champ. EQUIPMENT CONTROL: Equipment control will take place at the USAS range from 9am 1pm on the following days: 2/24, 2/26, and 3/1. Times are subject to change based on staffing. You may complete your pre-event training prior to going through equipment control. Be sure that your equipment meets the new standards published within the current USA Shooting rules. This link will take you directly to your membership account. You must scroll to the bottom of your membership page, ensuring all data is correct and then click next. This will take you through to the registration page, followed by the payment page. Please call Pete Carson at or Tyler Anderson at if you have difficulties registering. Please note we will accept entries up to range capacity. If requesting room and board at the Olympic Training Center, all fees and paperwork must be received by February 7 th to reserve your space. We do not guarantee roommate requests. If you need housing, please complete the Housing Request form at the bottom of this page. You will also need to complete the USOTC Paperwork packet found online under Events > Match Information > 2014 Pistol World Champ. All paperwork can be to Tyler Anderson at tyler.anderson@usashooting.org. RANGE CAPACITY: In order to maximize participation, range capacity for this event is determined by gender (due to match time frames).therefore, it is possible that we will have combined relays if there is overflow. If you are interested in competing in this event we encourage you to sign up early to ensure your position in the competition. LODGING AND MEALS: A limited number of beds at the Olympic Training Center are available. These beds (along with a meal card) will be made available on a first-come, first served basis. All fees must be received and paid in full by February 7 th to secure your space as well as all completed paperwork. If we do not have your payment in full by February 7 th your room reservation will be dropped. Any changes or cancellations before February 7 th will be minus a 15% administration fee. No refunds will be issued for housing after February 7 th. Competitors must be at least 12 years of age to stay in the OTC dormitories. Requests for housing cannot be accomplished online; you must the paperwork found on the website under Events > Match Information > 2014 Pistol World Champ. Be sure to complete the entire packet labeled USOTC Paperwork (8 pages total). Please all forms to Tyler Anderson at tyler.anderson@usashooting.org. US Competitors: $50.00 per night There will be no meal cards available for those staying off-site. For those athletes staying in the dormitories, there are three beds per room plus a sink, linens, and towels. The bathrooms are down the hallway (shower shoes and a robe are suggested). AIR CYLINDERS: Transportation of air cylinders is the responsibility of the shooter. If you plan to ship your air cylinder prior to the match, please mail it attention yourself, and care of USA Shooting- WAG-, 1 Olympic Plaza, Colorado Springs, CO We will store them in the Competitions office and you can pick it up when you arrive. We will also ship your cylinder home for you at the conclusion of the match for $10 per box. The $10 covers the shipping and the packing materials. USA Shooting will not be held responsible for shipping air cylinders that do not clear TSA at the airport. We strongly recommend shipping. Please review your airlines restrictions prior to departing.

5 USA Shooting will also enforce the 10 year air cylinder policy. The policy can be referenced by clicking here or you can look on our website under Resources then Policies & Procedures. TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to and from Colorado Springs will be the responsibility of the athlete. If you are staying at the OTC and provide your flight itinerary (before February 7 th ) with your entry, transportation from the Colorado Springs airport to the Olympic Complex will be arranged and provided at no cost through the Olympic Training Center Transportation Division. REFUNDS: Refunds minus a 15% administrative fee will be granted until February 7 th. Please notify the competitions office by phone or . No refunds will be given after February 7 th. HOTELS: Local hotels have been setup with discounted rates for those not staying on complex. Room rates are for doubles. Reservation links/information is available on our website under Events > Match Information > 2014 Pistol Champs AIRPORT: It is recommended to use the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS). Please remember that those staying off complex are not eligible for transportation to and from the COS airport. The Denver International Airport (DEN) can also be used, however this airport is located 85 miles to the north of Colorado Springs. USOC FACILITY USE FEE: The United States Olympic Committee charges a facility use fee of $8.00 per day when shooting on the USAS range. For anyone not staying on complex, the USOC will charge this fee which will be collected at registration. SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Please keep in mind that the match schedule, squadding and this program are subject to change. Although we make every attempt to maintain the published schedule, target malfunctions, weather and other items are out of our control. It is the responsibility of competitors and/or coaches to check the schedule and squadding daily and most importantly in the evening. Updated information will be posted to the web (under Events Match Information). USAS is not responsible for missed flights, airline change fees, missed squads, etc. Please keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements and schedules.
