Tournament Background The Hong Kong Football Club 10s started in 1986 as a social rugby tournament at the home of the Hong Kong Sevens to commemorate the centenary of the Hong Kong

Over the past 16 years it has grown into a world class event that is recognized as the world s most Premier 10s Tournament, attracting world players and teams from around the globe.

Hundreds of past, present and future internationals from over 20 national teams have played in the HKFC 10s over the years including; Jonah Lomu, Waisale Serevi, Lawrence Dallaglio,

2 Tournament Background The Hong Kong Football Club 10s started in 1986 as a social rugby tournament at the home of the Hong Kong Sevens to commemorate the centenary of the Hong Kong Football Club. Over the past 16 years it has grown into a world class event that is recognized as the world s most Premier 10s Tournament, attracting world players and teams from around the globe. The HKFC 10s oﬀers an opportunity for club and international players from both hemispheres to play against each other, compare styles and skills, and to make oﬀ-field friendships. Hundreds of past, present and future internationals from over 20 national teams have played in the HKFC 10s over the years including; Jonah Lomu, Waisale Serevi, Lawrence Dallaglio, Rory & Tony Underwood, Gavin & Scott Hastings. In recent years world renowned players such as Mils Muliaina, Nemani Nadolo, Justin Marshall and Todd Clever have travelled to Hong Kong to secure the Bill Burgess Cup in this iconic tournament. The HKFC 10s is played at the Hong Kong Football Club, in the middle of Happy Valley Race Course; a truly unique setting! 2
