USA Taekwondo is the US Olympic Governing Body for the sport of Taekwondo, providing the only route to the Olympics for athletes participating in this incredible martial art. USA Taekwondo raises funds to support athletes from grassroots level all the way to elite Olympic competitors and promises to use your donation responsibly to improve standards and bring greater success for all. Your donation will be used to send athletes of all ages to competitions around the world - an experience that is vitally important for both their development as a Taekwondo competitor and helps to broaden their life experience and round them out as an individual. We don t just send athletes to competition though, we also run all-ages training camps for athletes of all abilities, and your generous donations help us run more camps in more areas more often! 4 SUPPORTING MEDALISTS OF ALL AGES Your donation will help to support not just grass roots athletes, but Olympians and World Champions across the age groups. This page contains just some of our most recent medalists and, in their own words, they tell you how USA Taekwondo support has helped them live their dream! Undoubtedly a senior star of the future, Joshua Kosloski brought home a gold from Cadet Worlds! USA Taekwondo Golden Girl Kendall Yount on the podium collecting her gold at the 2015 Youth Olympics Senior National Team Member Terrence TJ Jennings brought home a bronze from the London Olympics Coaches told me that winning a Nationals or earning a National Team spot is just the athlete s first step. But being told this versus experiencing it is like day and night. It is not enough to know by words, you have to know by sparring. Without the opportunity to go to Cadet Worlds, I would never have known that I could win a World Championship. In other words, without going there s no knowing. Thank you USA Taekwondo for believing and supporting the 2014 USA Cadet National Team. Joshua Kosloski, Cadet Worlds Gold Medalist, Baku 2014 From the age of 10, I aspired to be a Taekwondo Olympian, but this goal seemed unattainable. However, with the support of USA Taekwondo my dreams became reality during the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. I was honored to represent the USA as flag bearer during the Opening Ceremonies and humbled to have also earned a Gold medal. My Olympic experience as a member of Team USA was life changing. I give the glory to God and extend my sincerest gratitude to my family, coaches and training partners. I can t thank everyone at USA Taekwondo enough for helping me climb toward the stars. Kendall Yount, Youth Olympic Gold Medalist, Nanjing 2014 My goal is for a gold medal. That would be the top of the top, icing on the cake. I don t think there could be anything better than standing on top of the podium hearing my national anthem being played I don t believe in crying, but I don t think I d be able to stop myself. Just thinking about it gives me chills. The whole Olympic dream thing with USA Taekwondo? it s the best way I can pay back my parents. For me to be able to get that gold medal would be saying the ultimate thank you to them. Terrence Jennings, Olympic Bronze Medalist, London 2012 Team USA superstar and multiple Olympic Gold winner Steven Lopez has just made the USA Taekwondo National team for a staggering 21st year in a row!

6 PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDRAISING! We greatly appreciate individual donations, but realize that s not for everyone - and fundraising can be FUN! Here are just some suggestions of enjoyable ways you can raise money with your friends, family and fellow athletes! Let s get creative, have a good time AND raise money! TAKE PART IN A FUN RUN Always a popular choice for the fundraiser! Get in shape and raise money by getting your friends & family to sponsor your efforts. We can think of a few people we d encourage to take up this challenge... How long can you go without talking? Get sponsored by the minute SPONSORED SILENCE SHAKE BUCKETS Even spare change makes a diffference to our fundraising efforts! Why not put on a Taekwondo demonstration in your local mall and ask for donations? Now this one is FUN! If you live near a theme park, contact them and say you re raising money by riding the coaster for a really long time! DO A COASTER-THON BE A DOG-WALKER Great exercise, community spirit and get to spend time with animals! Remember to negotiate hard for the fee you charge - and tell them it s for charity! Last year s internet phenomenon is a great way to earn cash for our cause! For a new twist on this old fav see the Bean Challenge on the next page ICE-BUCKET CHALLENGE

Set either an individual challenge for yourself, or a group challenge for your club, get sponsors and start kicking! Have an awesome party AND raise money at the same time! Charge for entry or ask for donations - it s up to you! And by the way, where s our invite? HAVE A COSTUME PARTY SELL YOUR OLD STUFF Have a ton of old stuff you never use anymore cluttering up the place? Clean house and help out in one smooth move! This one s not for the faint of heart, but if you have a dash of derring-do then you could raise a fortune for TKD athletes by throwing yourself from a plane! GO SKYDIVING HOLD A BAKE SALE Who doesn t love cake? Get your apron on and get baking! Then sell your wares to raise funds for Taekwondo athletes! Remember to save us a slice... Another one for those with nerves of steel - you d be amazed how much your friends & family are prepared to pay to watch you do this incredible stunt! DO A BUNGEE JUMP! BEAN CHALLENGE This challenge is a twist on the Ice Bucket Challenge - not as cold, but much saucier! Remember to video, post and share! Suitable for vegetarians.

Everyone needs a good car wash, and if you can clean your wheels and help a good cause people will throw money at you It could be a singing contest, stand-up comedy, ventriloquism, magic or even a mix of them all! Get together, have a great time and raise some cash! HOLD A TALENT SHOW SPONSORED WALK Whether it s laps around a field or park, or measured in miles get a group together, ask your friends & family to sponsor you and get walking for USA TKD! There s nothing worse than a messy mutt - raise money by helping people beautify their canine companions with a bath and a good brushing! TRY DOG GROOMING DANCE MARATHON Wherever they come from, whether disco or ballroom you can monetize your moves with a sponsored dance marathon Examples could be a wine tasting at your house, a golf day at a local course or a fashion show - either charge for entry or simply ask for donations! HOST AN EVENT WIN BIG AT A POKER NIGHT Go all-in for Team USA athletes by hosting a poker night to raise funds! Make either 50% of the take your prize, or just play for fun and donate the whole lot

9 FUNDRAISING TIPS & TRICKS FIND THE RIGHT SPACE Carefully consider the space you will need. Is your idea better indoors or outdoors? Do you need a big or small space? Tell the venue you choose it is a charity event - you could get a reduced rate! GIVE YOURSELF TIME Don t set a date that is too close - it will be stressful and you may not have enough time to do everything you need to do! Pick a date that will be convenient for your donors, like a weekend... MAKE A BUDGET FIgure out what you hope to raise after covering costs. See if you can borrow any equipment you may need instead of buying it, and ask local business if they will donate any prizes you may need SET & SHARE A TARGET Set your fundraising goal early and tell everyone! People will be excited by your progess and will give generously! SPREAD THE WORD Tell people why you are doing this! Your passion and personal reasons will inspire supporters! Use Facebook and Twitter to spread the word! Use #USATDonor and we ll retweet and share for you! MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!
