1 ORGANISATION and MANAGEMENT OF DOWN SYNDROME GYMNASTICS WORLDWIDE SPORT UNION DOWN SYNDROME (SU-DS) commonly referred to as SUDS is the World Governing Body. The TRISOME is the multisports World Games organised every 4 years and managed by SUDS. SUDS MEMBER SPORTS FULL SPORT MEMBERS Those sports registered with expert management PLUS a minimum 4 ELECTED members. DEVELOPMENT SPORT MEMBERS Those registered sports WITH NO ELECTED MEMBERS and/ or no. Must have an appointed management Board of accepted and recognised experts, (our current DSIGO position). We have developmental support from SUDS and access to generic rules, conditions, medical and technical regulations. DOWN SYNDROME INTERNATIONAL GYMNASTICS ASSOCIATION (DSIGO) is currently a DEVELOPMENT SPORT MEMBER managed by 4 appointed experts. DSIGO has already run 2 World, (Leicester England 2012 and Mortara Italy 2015). There are currently 15 groups sending gymnasts to World or Trisome Games. The first full elections will be in 2018 after which DSIGO will graduate to full SUDS Sport Membership. Only Nations with a recognised Managing Organisation and who have staged a in 2017 with a minimum of 10 members will qualify for ONE VOTE in the 2018 elections. From 2018 DSIGO will become a full Sport member of SUDS.

2 DOWN SYNDROME INTERNATIONAL GYMNASTICS ASSOCIATION Note that there are 2 World ranked opportunities in every 4 year cycle, a World Champs managed by DSIGO and Trisome Games managed by SUDS with DSIGO technical support. In both events a LOC or agency is enlisted. 3 DSIGO MEMBERSHIP of GYMNASTS All applicants must be pre-registered with SUDS and pay the relevant membership fee DSIGO INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP Carry over from 2015 DSIGO MEMBERSHIP 50 for 2 year cycle Invoiced late 2016 (strictly a 2 year fee) DSIGO MEMBERSHIP 50 for 2 year cycle Invoiced late 2018 (strictly a 2 year fee) DSIGO MEMBERSHIP 50 for 2 year cycle Invoiced late 2018 (strictly a 2 year fee)

4 NATIONAL MANAGING ORGANISATIONS/ASSOCIATIONS/COMMITTEES MUST be a recognized NATIONAL managing Association or Organization. Can be an elected or an appointed organisation, for example a or Regional Sport Committee. Must have a legally recognised constitution or articles of Association. MUST run a. To be eligible to VOTE at the DSIGO Congress must have a minimum of 10 entries to their. Entry to a DSIGO World will be through the Managing Organisation to DSIGO. Entry to the Trisome Games will be through the Managing Organisation to (SUDS). DSIGO MANAGEMENT VOTING RIGHTS 2018 CONGRESS for DSIGO Board and Committee. Each eligible Managing Organisation will carry ONE VOTE (see above rules) Presentation of DSIGO ACCOUNTS and activity Report. CONGRESS will AFFIRM the appointment of 4 expert Board members and ELECT minimum 4 committee members. Formal request to be accepted as a FULL MEMBER SPORT of SUDS.

5 DSIGO JUDGING CODE OF POINTS The first World 2012 used an amended SO code. The second World Champs and Trisome used a more adapted and structured code of judging. It was the overwhelming opinion of the coaches at the Trisome Games that the DSIGO code should be much more structured alongside the FIG code. This would help resolve the understanding and judging of DSIGO events worldwide. This would align DSIGO with FIG. This would create a better understanding of raised challenges, ambitions and skill level. This would better separate the concept of DSIGO from the SO philosophy. This would be better platform for blue sky thinking closer to Paralympic ambitions. This brief document is to try to stimulate ideas and is NOT part of any decision already made. The suggestion is to use the structure of the FIG with adaptations, additions, amendments and specific DS rules. To be ready for April 2017 and introcuded for all DSIGO events from September 2017.
