2 INVITATION Dear Mr. President On behalf of the Turkish Taekwondo Federation I am proud to invite you and your athletes to participate in the Turkish Open Taekwondo Tournament, which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, February 2018 Turkish Open is granted as WT G1 as well. We quarantee high quality organization and competition with the best international referees in order to quarantee maximum transparency, fairplay & impartiality for the athletes. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to ensure that we will make every possible effort in Organizing Committee a succesful Tournament of the highest technical level. 5 NOTE: WTF Global Licence is mandatory for all age categories AGES SENIORS: An athlete must be born in 2001 or earlier (+17 years) JUNIORS: Year of Birth ( ) CADETS: Year of Birth ( ) NOTE: Whoever eligible for Junior and Senior category because of the age has pick only one category for competition 8. Protective Equipment & Uniform The participants shall wear the WTF recognised Taekwondo Uniform. Daedo PSS will be use at this Tournament and will be provided by the OC. All athletes must bring their own Daedo sensor socks. Groin/Forearm/shin guards and Gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the contestants. Mouth piece is compulsory!(only white or transparent) 9. Applications To register and login to the service, please use this link: DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: AT LATEST 02nd FEBRUARY :59 p.m. Istanbul time Entries after deadline will not be accepted. Entries will stop when we reach 1500 players IMPORTANT: If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition for some reason, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before deadline (02 Feb 2018) his/her team officially must fully (%100) pay his/her entry fee for the participation 10. Referees Only International Referees will be accepted. An official invitation for the referees will be sent to all Federations. Referee meeting at 19:00, Friday 09 February at WOW Istanbul Hotel, the Official hotel for the Referees.

6 11. Entry Fee For Kyorugi: (EURO) for each Contestant Entry Fee should be paid in cash during to registration each category For all registered participants must be paid. No refunds! Changes of category after the deadline are allowed - Cost: 25. Coach Free entrance for 1 coach per 5 participants, Coaches must be at least 18 years old. and holder of ETU Coach licence Accommodation must be paid before the deadline ( 02 FEB 2018 ) For Poomsae Entry Fee ADMISSION FEE (PER ATHLETE) SINGLE DISCIPLINE TWO DISCIPLINES 50 Euro 70 Euro Entry Fee should be cash during to registration. Each category for all registered participants must be paid. No refunds! Changes of divisions after the deadline are allowed - Cost: 25. NOTE: Accommodation must be paid before the deadline ( 02 FEB 2017 ) Belt Requirements for Poomsae 1. Poom / Dan and above, it should be black belt Belt Requirements for Kyourugi For Senior, Junior and Cadets : 1. Poom / Dan and above Reservations are only valid when payment have been received and confirmed by the bank and the organizer. Incomplete application forms or applications without entry fees are invalid and will be sent back. Applications and payments shall be sent at the same time. Receipt of hotel accommodations and applications shall be sent by . Payment must be done per team or club Hotel reservations that are cancelled after 25 JANUARY 2018, will be fined %50 of the total hotel reservation cost.

7 Hotel reservations that are cancelled after 2 FEBRUARY 2018, will be fined %100 of the total hotel reservation cost. DAEDO Electronic Body Protectors will be provided by the OC, for all the competitors. Only WTF approved equipment will be allowed to use in this tournament (even dobok etc.) Groin/forearm/shi guards and gloves are compulsory and must be brought by the contestants. Mouth piece is compulsory! ( White or transparent ) All the players must bring their own full equipment except body protector. Only competitors and coaches have admittance to the field of play. Coaching is only allowed in sportswear. All coaches must be 18 years or older. First Aid will be provided by the organization and is only to be used in case of an emergency. 12. Insurance 13. Classification of Results The organisation and supervisor assume no responsibility for teams, any damages, violence, loses and injures during the stay in Turkey. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in Turkey. If not, this will have to be paid cash. Individual Awards Medals will be awarded to the top four athletes in the respective classifications and weight divisions of the pertinent championships: 1 st PLACE: GOLD MEDAL & CERTIFICATE 2 nd PLACE: SILVER MEDAL & CERTIFICATE 3 rd PLACE: BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE 3 rd PLACE: BRONZE MEDAL & CERTIFICATE 14.Head of Team Meeting & Drawing of Lots Session FOR POOMSAE: The head of team meeting shall be conducted one (1) days prior to the start of the championships that is February , in the presence of OC the representatives of the participating nations.

8 FOR KYOURGI: The head of team meeting and the drawing of lots session shall be conducted one (1) days prior to the start of the championships that is February 10th 2018, in the presence of OC the representatives of the participating nations. 15. Weigh-in Weigh-in of the contestants shall be complete done day before their scheduled competition day.10:00-12:00 During the weigh-in, all contestants shall wear under pants and female contestants shall wear underpants and brassieres. However, contestants may weigh-in in the nude if they want to do so. 16. Indemnities The respective national taekwondo associations shall be responsible for ensuring that their participants have validly completed and signed the official participation forms, thus indemnifying the organizers, its officials and other contestants from any claims of injuries, losses, fatalities or otherwise arising in the course of participation in this tournament or any activities thereto. The respective national taekwondo associations shall be responsible for ensuring that all officials and participants are covered with effective insurance coverage. Participants without proper participation entry forms and effective insurance coverage will not be allowed to compete at the championships. The Organizing Committee will acquire general insurance, at its own expenses, for all participants of the tournament, including but not limited to contestants and staffs, in the event of any injury and/or damages that may arise during the course of the championships.

Accommodation: The participating teams are required hotel reservation contact by mail following telephone: Airport Hotel and Hotel - Airport transportation will be only organized for the teams that have made hotel reservations through the Organizing Comittee.
