We assure you that the 3 rd IMG Games will provide an important opportunity to all martial arts sportspersons to exchange their experiences, techniques and new ideas and cherish long lasting friendship among each other. We will do our best to provide you with a pleasant, memorable and enjoyable stay in Bangkok, Thailand. Please find the details pertaining to the Games enclosed below. Hearty welcome to Bangkok! Sports Taekwon-Do, Sambo, Aikido, Kick Boxing, Pankration, Kung-Fu, Go, Sillat Sirum (Korean style wrestling), Wushu, Karate-Do, Tangsudo, Muaythai, and so on. 5. Participants Any martial artist who belongs to either an International Martial Arts Federation or National Martial Arts Games Committee (NMGC) or any individual Martial Arts organization of any of the above mentioned disciplines. 6. Method Competition & Demonstration 1

3 6.1 Competition (9 sports): Muaythai, Taekwon-Do, Sambo, Kick-boxing, Pankration, Kung-Fu, Go, Sirum, Wushu, Karate-Do, Tangsudo.Competition will be conducted according to the rules/regulations of the International Federations of the respective martial arts disciplines. 6.2 Demonstration: Any individual or team of any martial arts is encouraged to conduct demonstrations and particularly the traditional demonstrations inherent to any regional and country are welcome. There is no limit in the contents as well as music and spotlight will be available upon request. The duration of a demonstration should not exceed 10 minutes. 7. Awards Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and diplomas will be awarded to the top 3 Winners of the competition. Cups of the Games shall be awarded 8. Technical Officials 8.1 The Technical delegation of the respective International Federation shall be responsible for the management of the competition of their respective martial arts disciplines during the Games under the support of the organizing committee. 8.2 Every participating team should bring one umpire/referee with them to the Games. Umpires should forward their valid certificates at registration. 8.3 The Organizing Committee will be responsible for umpires full Accommodation from August 13 to 18, Competitors Each competitor is required to hold his/her Life Insurance Certificate. Competitors must follow the dress code of their events. And they must bring with them their required equipments for the competition. 10. Expenses: 10.1 Travel cost: Participants should pay for their own travel from their country to Bangkok. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST TAKE THE NECESSARY VISA FROM THEIR OWN COUNTRY BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF TRAVEL Accommodation: 8days/7nights (package) - US$ 390 (US $ 56 per day per person) The expenses include the following: Full accommodation TWIN SHARING ROOM (2 PERSON / ROOM) including breakfast, lunch and dinner Local transportation to/ from airport - hotel and to /from hotel Gymnasiums as per the schedules announced 2

4 Use of training facilities in gymnasium Farewell party Interpreter Organizing Committee shall prearrange accommodations for the participants. All participants are kindly required to pay for their accommodation at the time of registration as soon as they arrive. Accommodation can be guaranteed only for the days that are paid for by the participant at the time of registration. Any extra days requested later will be possible only subject to availability. No guarantee can be given for such requests Those who arrive in Bangkok earlier than April 12 and stay longer than April 19 for their convenience must pay US$ 80 per day for their accommodation (only breakfast included) Participation fee: All competitors and coaches must pay US$ 30 per person for their participation. 11. Final entry (Entry by name) 11.1 All participating teams must submit their entry forms by Number to the above address not later than January 31, All participating teams must submit their Final entry (by Name) to the above address not later than February 29, Final entry forms must include the following information: Association (address, telephone, fax, ), list of team members (full name, gender, date of birth, passport No., sport/event to be entered) and the date of arrival/flight details. Final entry forms must be typed in English and signed by the President and Secretary General of the Associations. 12. Registration All participants must register at the Hotel on April 12, At registration the participants should show their passports and submit 2 photos for the ID card. - They must pay for their full accommodations and participation fees. - They should confirm their competition events based on their final entries. - At registration every participating team of each sport should forward their two National flags (1x2 m) and national anthem CD. 13. The word Songkran means move or change so this festival is the period that the sun moves close to our earth and all Southeastern people regard this time as their new year. After this festival spread over Asia, water which is the symbol of richness started to play an important role in the celebration. There are three days of celebration during this festival: The first day is called Songkran day, the last day of the old year. People will clean their home to welcome the coming new year. The second day is Wan Nao. People will bathe the image of Lord Buddha and all children will Rod-nam-dum-hua (pouring water on the hands of revered elders and asking for blessing) to their parents. Furthermore, they believe that saying any rough word on that day will bring them bad luck. The last day is Payawan Day, the beginning day of New Year. People will make merry for their happiness. In the north, they will bring a timber to prop the big tree for their long life. All male and female teenagers will throw water on each other for removal of all bad influences. This is only one day that they will meet each other, doing activities at the temple together. Now this belief is still visible only in the up-country because most people put more importance on water war. Cold water and ice replace Num-ob (Thai perfume). Scented Powder is a new Songkran charm. Water war at Kao Sarn Road in Bangkok, Road around Chiangmai moat, Kao Nheaw Road in Khon kaen reflect new Thai Songkran lifestyle. 16. Sightseeing You will be able to do sightseeing purchasing at bargain prices around Bangkok city and have the opportunity to enjoy the Songkran festival. 4
