1 Winnipeg Jets Gala The Winnipeg Jets Gala Dinner is a unique event for hockey enthusiasts and Foundation friends. Last year, the Winnipeg Jets Gala Dinner raised over $300,000 net; helping us send more than 250 student athletes to Camp Manitou this summer, pilot the Project 11 curriculum in classrooms, and provide the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy to over 600 children. The Winnipeg Jets Gala Dinner attracts professionals and corporations from both the private and public sectors. In 2015, the Foundation anticipates to sell out the event with over 950 people in attendance at the MTS Centre. What makes the dinner unique is the opportunity to mingle with Winnipeg Jets players and coaches while partaking in a 4 course meal and being entertained throughout the evening. The event includes live and silent auctions with once-in-a-lifetime Winnipeg Jets experiences.

3 The Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation ignites potential in Manitoban youth. The Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation focuses its efforts on providing support to the children of the community so they may lead quality lives and develop into contributing members of society. The organization was established in October of 1996 as the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation. With the acquisition of an NHL franchise in 2011, the Foundation has been renamed the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation and is tasked with the responsibility and privilege of continuing financial, volunteer and programming support in accordance with its desire to have a larger positive impact on the community. The Foundation dedicates resources to assist registered youth charities within our community who focus on developing and operating programs that support underserved youth. Through three continuously growing programs, the Foundation positively impacts the lives of thousands. 1. The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy (WJHA) is a play-based program designed to increase school attendance as well as high school graduation rates in socially and economically challenged schools in Winnipeg. 2. Project 11 is an educational program designed to act as a curricular resource for teachers in grades 5-8 supporting positive mental health in the classroom. 3. Camp Manitou is an outdoor program which helps underserved youth develop friendships, camping skills, self-confidence, and increased respect for themselves, the community, and the environment. The goal is to provide accessible and meaningful outdoor education experiences to Manitoba children, youth and community groups. During the Foundation s first 19 years of existence it has provided over $9 million of funding to youth based initiatives across the Province of Manitoba. In recent years, the Foundation has turned its focus to self-programming initiatives including the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy, Project 11 and Camp Manitou.
