2 The London Mascots For the 2012 Olympic Games, London has created two mascots to represent them. These mascots travel all around the country spreading the word about the Olympic Games. These two lovable mascots are said to have been created by the last two drops of steel used to make the Olympic Stadium in London. Both are very shiny. Both reflect like mirrors. Each has a camera lens for an eye. Also... F Wenlock is the official mascot of the Olympic Games. His head is shaped like the roof of Olympic Stadium. He has five bracelets on his wrist. They are the colors of the Olympic rings. He loves meeting people and learning about sports. F Mandeville is the official mascot of the Paralympic Games. The Paralympic Games are played by athletes who have disabilities. He is constantly in motion and always trying to do better than he ever has. That is why he wears a timer on his wrist. He is always looking for a challenge to overcome. To get a better look at the Olympic mascots and to have a blast with them, visit This fun web page lets you give Wenlock and Mandeville new hairstyles and dress them in crazy clothes! Directions: Now imagine that the Olympic Games are coming to your city. In the box, draw a mascot that represents both your city and the Olympic Games. You can cut out your mascot card. Then fold it back on the dotted line. Now stand your mascot up on your desk to show off your creation! My Mascot My Mascot s Name (fold back halfway) 12
