Time to submit Team Nominations and AOY for 2016 Athlete of the Year (AOY) One athlete will be selected and given awards in each youth athletic age division Girls/Boys through Young Women/Young Men for Athlete of the Year. The AOY selection process is comprised of athletes competing in Track & Field and Cross Country meets based on the following: Athletes who place 1 st through 3 rd overall in each event for each division at all SCA A&B Meets, Indoor Classic Youth West Zone Championships, Youth Indoor Zone Championships. Athletes who place 1 st through 8 th overall in each event for each divisions at all Association, Regional, Youth Nationals, Junior Olympics, Jr. Nationals, and World meets. Points are accumulated for your athletes based on all meets noted above and total points are calculated to determine Athlete of the Year. Note: All other meets not otherwise stated above and or indicated on the AOY Point Calculation list are excluded and will not be counted in point accumulation. First Finishers Awards are given to Athletes who placed 1 st place at a National Championship and athletes who break a record. Please complete the Team Nomination form section for First Finishers. Team Nominations Each club can submit Team Nominations for Best Boy, Best Girl, Special Merit, Female Parent, Male Parent, Sponsor, and Best Coach. Note: Awards are presented and issued with the expectation that the athlete will attend the banquet. Deadline to Submit Nominations and Photo Headshots for AOY Nominees All forms must be submitted by the requested deadline date! Late form submissions will not be accepted beyond the dates indicated below. Please send a headshot of your AOY Nominee with the submission of the AOY form.

Banquet Coordinator Contact: Cheryl Mack at Banquet Information The SCA Awards Banquet will be held at the Carson Community Center, Carson CA on January 15, 2017, 2:00 PM. All tickets must be pre-paid in advance with a club check, money order or cashier s check. NO CASH PAYMENTS! Wristbands are required to enter banquet. Banquet ticket Cost: $25 per person Note: All parents, friends, coaches, athletes, and children who attend the banquet must purchase a banquet ticket for entry. Note: If a child under age 5 shares a seat/plate with parent, a banquet ticket is NOT required for the child. Thank you, SCA Banquet Committee
