2 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP CADETS JUNIORS SENIORS VETERANS BRINDISI (ITA), JUNE 2017 GENERAL REGULATIONS PARTICIPATION 1. Only the National Federations or Committees, duly affiliated to UWW for the year 2017 can participate in the event. They are fully responsible for entering their athletes within the deadline. 2. The National Federations or committees may submit a maximum of two athletes per weight of each category that are Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and Veterans. 3. Each competitor (Cadet, Junior, Senior and Veteran) must have a UWW license valid for the year. For the license are requested the following documents: a passport copy, an annual medical certificate and a photo. 4. The licenses will be exclusively sold at competition and the prices are: CHF (or Euros or USD) for Juniors, Seniors and Veterans. CHF (or Euros or USD) for Cadets. CHF (or Euros or USD) for Cadets and Junior is theprice for temporary licences. 5. Each Cadet competitor, must be years old (born ). An athlete of 15 years old, is allowed to compete in the Junior category with a medical certificate and a parental permit. 6. Each Junior competitor, must be years old (born ). An athlete of 17 years old is allowed to compete in the Junior category with a medical certificate and a parental permit. 7. Each Senior competitor, must be year old (born ). Competitors aged years old (born ) are allowed to participate in the Senior category upon the presentation of a medical certificate. 8. Each Veteran-A competitor, must be years old (born between ). Age and nationality will be checked with the passport at the weigh-in. 9. Each contestant deemed to be taking part of his/her owns free will, responsible for him/her, shall be allowed to compete in only one weight category: the one that correspond to his/her weight at the time of the official weigh-in. 10. Final Entry Form (full name of participants) must be sent to the following addresses: to segreterianazionalefipa@yahoo.it to lasareos@gmail.com, before 10 May The national organizing federation, is providing an Accommodation Package that includes accommodation in a 3 Stars Hotel, in triple or quadruple room, including breakfasts, dinners and transportation from/to the Competition Venue at fixed times. The cost of the above mentioned point is 70 euro/day per person. 13. The organizer will take care of booking the rooms for the delegations. 14. The delegations will be welcomed by the Organizing Committee upon their arrival in Brindisi Airport and will be driven to the hotel to proceed with accreditation. 15. The delegation who will bring 9 (nine) or more athletes will benefit accommodation free of charge for one their coach. 16. Please do not send your payment for accommodation to UWW, as it will be returned. Competitors are under the exclusive responsibility of their National Federation or Committee through their respective coaches. Any breach of the rules will be sanctioned according to the UWW Disciplinary Regulations. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS 1. The competition will be run according to the UWW Pankration official rules on 3 mats approved WPAC/UWW. 2. The competition will take place in the official weight categories and no weight tolerance beyond weight category will be accepted. 3. The athletes who compete in Pankration Athlima and Pankration will make only one weight control. Cadets: years old

3 Men: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, +75 kg. Women: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, +70 kg. Juniors: years old Men: 60, 66, 71, 77, 84, 92, 100, +100 kg. Women: 53, 58, 64, 71, +71 kg. Seniors: years old Men: 60, 66, 71, 77, 84, 92, 100, +100 kg. Women: 53, 58, 64, 71, +71 kg. Pankratiasts aged may compete in senior competitions upon presentation of a medical consent. Veterans: years old Men: 60, 66, 71, 77, 84, 92, 100, +100 kg. Women: 53, 58, 64, 71, +71 kg. 4. In the sector of Pankration may participate only the athlete that belongs to the Juniors, Seniors categories. 5. Each competitor will be requested to undergo a medical examination before the official weigh-in. 6. The drawing of lots for position in the brackets will be done by the competition software automatically. 7. The competitors are allowed to enter in both styles: Males of Juniors, Seniors and Veterans categories of Pankration Athlima and Pankration. Women only in Pankration Athlima. 8. The competitors must have a valid medical certificate for the year 2017, fulfilled on the international form and sent by the organizer. In the absence of the certificate the athlete will not be accepted to the championship. 9. The UWW license covers medical assistance to the competitors in the event of an accident occurring during the competition. If a competitor wishes to have a medical examination or receive a treatment that is not linked to an accident that happened during the competition, either he/she or his/her National Federation will be entitled to bear the related costs. 10. Each competitor will be required to wear the WPAC approved competition uniform, complying with the international regulations that is: Pankration Athlima: Mandatory should wear a Endyma, 4oz gloves and shin-instep guards. The first competitor called shall color white, and white protectors, the second one blue endyma, and blue protectors. In addition, competitors in full divisions are required to wear a groin guard and a mouth guard. Pankration: Mandatory blue shorts and rashguard, 8oz gloves and shin-instep guards. The first competitor called shall wear white shorts, rashguard an white or red protections, the second one blu shorts, blue rashguard and blue protections. In addition, the competitors are required to wear a headguard, a groin guard and a mouth guard. Female competitors are also allowed to wear a chest protector. 11. In weight categories that athletes are less than 3 (three), the athletes will be moved in the top or bottom category. The athlete will be placed in category closer to its actual weight. 12. Athletes who have no Endyma or protections may be purchased in the tender of sport hall. 13. The first three teams in senior age group in each style Pankration Athlima and Pankration will receive a cup. In Pankration Athlima the points of Palesmata, Polydamas and fightings, will be grouped togethe. 1st place 1 gold medal, certificate 2nd place 1 silver medal, certificate 3rd place 2 bronze medals, certificates 5th 10th places certificates 14. The poits will be allocated to the first three athletes 1st place 10 points 2nd place 08 points 3rd place 06 points REFEREES 1. In accordance with the United World Wrestling regulations, each delegation participating with more than 3 athletes (all styles combined) is required to enter at least 1 referee of the highest category available in the country. The National Federations or Committees that would not comply with this rule will be imposed a penalty invoiced at the end of the year.

4 2. Only the UWW/WPAC certified referees with a valid 2017 licence may work in the competition. 3. All referees must wear a red endyma, and white shoes. (Red Endyma will gift to the referees from the organizer). 4. All referees must arrive one day before the competition to attend for the arbitrator s course. (The day of the course will be paid by the organizer). COACHES 1. Only one coach is allowed to the competitors corner. The coaches must wear their national team tracksuit when performing their match duties and abide by the International Code of Conduct at all times.
