4 4. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION Proof of membership by valid national Federation passport with WTE/WT membership. All competitors have to proof their age and nationality by presenting their passport or identification card at the weigh-in. Those who are not recognized as adults (underage) by law in their own country must submit a passport or identification card together with a written consent (liability declaration) at registration signed by parents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation. All participants require a WT Global Licence (GAL Global Athlete License or GOL Global Official License) and WT Event Pass and must be a member of a National Taekwondo Federation affiliated to the WT. This membership must be proved at registration by providing a valid WT Global Licence. Onsite registration for WT Global License is not possible. Registration must be done in advance. A Global Licence check will be done at the onsite registration center before any individual is allowed to compete. The WT Licence and WT Event Pass must be valid or renewed for Entry fees are obligated at all times. All participants of the German Open 2018 (officials & contestants) are responsible that they are registered and approved through their respective WT Member National Association at least 1 month before the tournament it is required for. An approved 2018 WT Global License (WT Global Athlete License OR Global Official License) and WT Event Pass is required by all athletes and officials who wish to register for the German Open 2018 WT Global License registrations & renewals can only be made through the WT recognized Member National Associations and application should be made at least 2 months before the Tournament starts to ensure the WT licence can be processed and approved in time. There will be NO WT Global License registration onsite. Event Registration Registration is only accepted through the WT Event Registration system and registration is only possible with a valid 2018 WT Global License and WT Event Pass. WT Ranking Seeding of Senior Athletes will be based on the March 2018 Rankings 5. AGE GROUPS Cadets male and female: born in 2004 to 2006 Juniors male and female: born in 2001 to 2003 Seniors male and female: born in 2001 or later Juniors, who were born in 2001 can compete as a junior or as a senior. Starting in both categories (juniors and seniors) is not possible. 6. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Seniors male: Seniors female: Juniors male/female: Cadets male/female 2 nd Kup or higher 2 nd Kup or higher 2 nd Kup or higher 2 nd Kup or higher Juniors who participate in seniors competition must meet the qualification required for seniors.

ONLINE - REGISTRATION Online registration: Online registration will only be available through the WT Global Member ship System (GMS) at: Registration begins: Registration ends: :59 (German Time) IMPORTANT: If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition for some reason, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before deadline ( ) his/her team officially must fully (100%) pay his/her entry fee for the participation. 8. ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT 80,00 for each competitor via bank transfer. Entry fee must be transferred on to below indicated account before the deadline Additional currency charges must be paid by the participating Team/ competitor. All currency charges which are charged to the account of the German Taekwondo Federation must be balanced cash during registration. Application is only valid when payment has been done to the bank account at the same time of registration and when payments of all entry fees have been received 3 days after registration. 100,00 for each competitor if paid in cash at registration If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before the deadline ( ) his/her team or official must fully (100%) pay his/her Entry fee for participation. 6 9. CHANGE OF WEIGHT DIVISIONS Changing weight divisions after is only possible for a fee of 25,00 at registration at the Sporthalle. With the registration the competitors as well as the federations accept all points of the official invitation and outline 10. EQUIPMENT PSS including e-head protectors from DAEDO will be provided for all competitors and each weight division (senior, junior, cadet). This Equipment must be borrowed from the Organizing Committee. Passport or ID-Card is necessary. All contestants must bring their own WT recognized equipment e.g. groin-, forearm-, shin-, mouthpiece, gloves and sensor socks (compulsory) 11. ADMISSION/ TICKETS Adults: 10,00 Children/ Juniors: 6, VISA The Organizing Committee recommends that visa application should be done at least one month prior to the entry into the Federal Republic of Germany. The Organizing Committee will help the participating teams for entry visas if requested. 7 14. COACHES Each coach accompanied by at least four competitors receives free admission (limit five coaches). Coaches can enter the competition area only with proper sport shoes and tracksuit. Before weigh-in all coaches must have the Special ID-Cards for their whole team. Weigh-in and entry to the gymnasium only with Special ID-Cards. Special ID-Cards for all competitors and coaches! You can get these from the Organizing Committee at the registration center. All coaches need WTF-License (GOL) and (if applicable) Continental coach License. Only 1 competitor and 1 coach are allowed to enter the field of play. National teams are allowed to have following accreditations: 2 MNA officials, 1 official doctor (not second coach), 1 coach. Club teams can only register coach accreditations all other accreditations are not allowed. Please note that for every 5 competitors 1 coach is granted free admission. 15. CLASSIFICATION & AWARDS Classification: Award presentation: List of results: Places 1 to 3 will be scored for classification of Teams and Nations. The key will be used. 1st, 2nd and two 3rd places will be awarded with Medals (Individuals) Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Teams and Nations The competitors agree with the announcement, that the first and last name, the weight category, the Nation/Organization and the placing in the list of results will be reported in the internet as well as in printed media. 16. LIABILITY All participants of the German Open are aware to participate at their own risk. The registration application implies that the participants agree to assume responsibility for themselves and to release all others from all and any liability which may directly or indirectly result from the German Open. The German Taekwondo Federation (DTU) and the organizer assume no responsibility for any damages, injuries or losses and specifically note that they also take no responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries or other consequences due to (directly or indirectly) acts of terrorism, terrorist threats or act of nature. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in the Federal Republic of Germany. If not, this will have to be paid in cash. All participants & visitors need to have a valid Identification by means of a valid passport or other official identification document!

8 17. COMPETITION RULES & METHOD Competition Rules: The current competition rules of the WT are valid. Competition Mode: Single elimination tournament system (K.O. system) The referee director DTU and WTF Technical Delegate can decide to adjust the competition. Instant Video Replay: Instant Video Replay system will be used Quota: 2 quota until and including semi-final 1 bonus quota will be given in final when all quotas have been used. Doping Control: Entry Field of Play: Some contestants chosen at random will be tested. With his/her participation the competitor accepts the agreement with the NADA/WADA (National & World Antidoping Agency) Only the competitors and their coaches will have admittance with valid accreditations to the field of play 18. Doping tests can be applied!
