3 Introduction After having organized some Italian national Canoe Polo Championships, Syracuse and its organising are committee going through a new experience. We are proud to welcome all selected nations and their delegation. Our main goals for this top-level event is to be at the service of each team, to entertain all spectators and make of the 2016 ICF Canoe Polo World Championship which will take a place in Syracuse one of the most memorable events. The committee is willing to host the most remarkable competition in one of the most beautiful and ancient Town, we are ready to write down an other page of history about a place where the history itself originated. 6 General information How to get to access Syracuse? 11 How to register? You need to enter your teams through the nominal entries via the ICF software in order to validate them. With the nominal entries, all athletes will be automatically pre-accreditated, so you do not need to re-enter them. Be careful, you need to enter all your staff members through pre-accreditations. Log with you login (provided by ICF) and go on Online Entries STEP 1: Online Entries You just need to complete all your entries. STEP 2: Pre Accreditations You just need to complete all your staff members entries ( athletes are not included). 12

12 How to pay? The payment for the participation fees can be made by bank transfer. 13 Mayor speech This important event scheduled for the next summer will be a great opportunity for Syracuse. About 700 athletes, representing all the international Federations which will be competing in the Canoe Polo World Championships 2016, will be the ambassadors of the city, of its history, of its culture, of its beauty. Syracuse is ready to host them with its monuments, which have allowed the city the inscription on the World Heritage List of UNESCO as world heritage site: not only the Greek Neapolis and Theater, but also Ortigia and its squares, its palaces, its baroque architecture, its museums and also the sea and its coasts, among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. In the waters of Ortigia, we surely will be spectators of a first class show, full of emotions. This is a proper recognition not only for the city of Syracuse, but also for all the athletes from the local teams, who have reached great goals (both in national and international field) especially in the recent years.
