5 Overall Programme for Exeter FDS Phase 1 : In-channel works south of Trew s Weir Permitted development Completed October 2015 Phase 2 : Raised defences, gates etc Planning Consent received July 2015 Future Milestones: March 2016: Award Construction Contract May 2016: Site works to commence Summer 2018: Completion

7 Phase 2 Cowley Bridge defence solutions to be designed in association with Network Rail Design Aim = to maximise flow capacity Channel capacity improvements Structural alterations 7.4km raised defences Railway defence walls and banks Station Road flood gates St Davids Station defence walls Exwick defence walls and banks Exe Bridges defence embankments Bonhay Road - Localised defences. Eagle Cottages defence walls Haven Banks defence embankments and walls

Programming to take advantage of summer months where possible given other constraints. Minimise haul distances and vehicular movements.
