Western Australia, and indeed the whole country, is a leader in research and innovative developments in forensic science and that, itself, is a major drawcard for people across the globe to come to Perth. But more than that, under the banner of Forensic Science without Borders we will be encouraging attendance of those who do not traditionally travel to such large gatherings of their peers. The Society s objectives are to enhance the quality of forensic science providing both formal and informal lectures, discussions and demonstrations encompassing the various disciplines within the science. In 1988, the strong New Zealand membership within the Society was recognised, resulting in the name of the Society changing to the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS). The ANZFSS organises a biennial symposium in which research and best practice in forensic science is presented. Fostering new ideas and collaborative research is promoted by ANZFSS and that intent is particularly apparent during these symposia. Continuing professional development can be gained though exposure to new practices and novel concepts, meeting others that share either similar or divergent views, and presenting material and information to your peers. ANZFSS plays a crucial role in helping early career scientist attend these symposia. While restating the view of PCAST that further education, training and research are essential, the recent high participation and engagement of the forensic science community at the ANZFSS symposia underscores the commitment to continually increase the quality of the forensic sciences in the Australia Pacific region. As the sponsor, you will be engaged early in the planning for this event, ensuring you are a valued partner and creating a memorable lasting impression on all guests. In addition delegates will be encouraged to engage by posting comments and photos and exhibitors and sponsors will be able to use the news feed to encourage visits to their booths. Name (please print) Position Organisation Signed Date TERMS AND CONDITIONS By returning an application form via online or printed copy confirms your acceptance of these terms and conditions All bookings are subject to approval by the ANZFSS Organisers and we reserve the right to refuse an application We (Encanta and ANZFSS) as the Symposium Organisers reserve the right to alter any aspect of the program and floor plan without prior notice. Please refer to the Symposium website for the latest information on the event. We will take all diligent care to fulfil the above sponsorship and exhibition commitments. Sponsors and exhibitors are responsible for providing all their requirements ie banners, promotional material and any other material by the due dates requested by the Organisers. We reserve the right to introduce new packages and additional exhibition space should the opportunity arise. Sponsors and Exhibitors are required to make the necessary payments as per the payment schedule below (unless otherwise negotiated): - 50% due within one month of invoice date - Remaining 50% due no later than 9 July Sponsors and Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their own equipment and materials during the event and in transit to the event venue. The Sponsor/Exhibitor understand that all attendees must register officially and entry to the exhibition will not occur unless the attendee is wearing the appropriate identification. Visitor badges are provided as a gesture of goodwill and not for use by the organisation s representatives. The Exhibitor shall take all reasonable care when installing/dismantling their equipment and stand as not to cause damage to the venue carpet, walls, ceilings, fixtures and floors and the shell scheme booths supplied by the appointed stand contractor including panels, fascia, spotlights and furniture. The Exhibitor is deemed liable for repairs if the structures are damaged. The Organisers reserve the right to request removal of any items that may be deemed unacceptable and impacts fellow Exhibitors. All promotion must be conducted from your booth. All Organisations are expected to conduct their business in a professional, ethical manner and any breach will result in immediate cancellation of the Sponsorship/Exhibition package. If an Organisation is found to not align their values with that of the ANZFSS, this may result in cancellation of your Sponsorship/Exhibition package. CANCELLATION POLICY The submission of an application by a representative from your organisation is regarded as a firm booking. All cancellations must be made in writing to the Organisers and notice acknowledged in writing by the Organisers. Any reduction in a Sponsorship and/or Exhibition allocation (once accepted by the Organisers) will be considered a cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply. Should the balance payment be outstanding at time of cancellation, the Sponsor/Exhibitor is liable for the balance as per the cancellation policy. There is no opportunity to transfer your Sponsorship/Exhibition booking to another ANZFSS event. CANCELLATION DATES Before 31 December 2017, full refund less a $250 administration charge Between 1 January 2018 and 30 April 2018: 50% cancellation fee of total contribution will apply From 1 May 2018: 100% cancellation fee and will be liable for payment of the balance should it not have been received by the cancellation date.
