2 ABOUT SIMO EDUCATION SIMO Education is founded in 2007 by deeply passionate IIT and IIM Alumni, working for promotion of basic sciences and education in India and Sou-East Asia. SIMO Education Olympiads is our initiative to brain storm students and improve eir cognitive skills. Indian National English Olympiad (INEO) for classes III to XII EXAMINATION FEES Rs. 125 (Rupees One Hundred and Twenty Five Only) is to be collected for each candidate and for each Olympiad. An amount of Rs. 10 per candidate can be retained by schools to meet contingencies like dispatch of OMR sheets, invigilation, obtaining Demand Draft and oer miscellaneous expenses. No oer expenses would be entertained by SIMO Education. The rest of e amount Rs. 115 per candidate is to be paid to SIMO Education by way of Demand Draft or online payment at our website during online application. No oer mode of payment is accepted by us. SIMO Education is not responsible for cash transactions wi individuals or any oer representatives. REGISTRATION FOR OLYMPIADS The registration for SIMO Education Olympiads is completely online and paperless. The registration process is simple and self explanatory. 5 SELECTION CRITERION FOR LEVEL II (Final test) Student should be in top 8-10 % among all e participants at took e Olympiad, based on e relative performance and cut-off marks OR he/she should be in top 4% of e participants from his school (school quota). For example, if e school had 50 students for e Olympiad (across all classes and Olympiads), a minimum of 2 students (4% of 50) will be selected for Stage-II. Usually, e 4% students will be selected based on e nearness to 8-10% merit cutoff. The decision of SIMO Education shall be final in all matters pertaining to number of selections for Level II (Final Test). AWARDS & RECOGNITION All e students who attended any of e Olympiads will get a Certificate of Merit and Participation in association wi Shaastra 2016, IIT Madras indicating e level of e performance of e student in e Screening Test. If e number of participants falls short of 50, SIMO Education may provide nearest center as Test center. The duly filled in OMR Sheets must reach SIMO Education wiin 3 working days. The venue for e Level 2 test of SIMO, SIPHO and SICHO will be decided by SIMO Education based on e nearest available center and e decision shall be final. Page 5
