2 OVERVIEW DATES: July 8 th 14 th AGES: LOCATION: Fortius Sport & Health (Burnaby, BC) Our Residential Program in Vancouver, offered by BCN Sports as official partner of FC Barcelona in Canada and in collaboration with Fortius Sports and Health, will offer a comprehensive training regime which is designed to challenge young athletes and progressively develop their skills and confidence. The players will train and stay together in a fantastic training facility which has a hotel in the same complex and provides all kinds of amenities. The participants of our residential program will be taking part in the FC Barcelona training camp during the day, while during the evening they will participate in top of the line athlete development activities such as team building exercises, nutritional workshops, and recovery sessions. During this camp, official FC Barcelona coaches, together with licensed local staff, will supervise all of the sessions throughout the camp to ensure our players receive the same level of quality, professionalism and authenticity that is received in the youth academy in Barcelona. All of our camps are based on the Barça methodology which includes a creative and attacking brand of football as well as the promotion of positive values such as respect, effort, ambition, teamwork and sportsmanship.

WORSKSHOPS During the week our player will will participate in top of the line athlete development activities such as team building exercises, nutritional workshops, and recovery sessions, all

TESTING & ASSESSMENT (1x) We will run a wide variety of dry-land and on-field tests including anthropometrics and calculation of peak height velocity, speed, multidirectional agility and coordination, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, upper and lower body muscular strength and endurance, trunk stability, and functional movement screening. Test selection will be done in conjunction with the sport coaching staff to identify the appropriate tests for the age, training level, and team programming purposes. A full report will be provided to each participant.

7 WORSKSHOPS RECOVERY SESSION (2x) When recovery from competition is improved, athletes are able to train sooner and with better quality than when either no or inappropriate recovery practices are completed. We will offer a recovery session that will focus on proper stretching, lengthening, core and more. ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP (2x) We will offer an educational workshop focused on a variety of topics including warmup/cooldown, sleep and travel habits, longterm athlete development, managing and monitoring the athlete training schedule, strength/speed/power/conditioning development strategies, and more.

WORSKSHOPS NUTRITIONAL WORKSHOP (1x) Ashley Charlebois, Registered Dietitian, will discuss what to eat on a daily basis to keep up with the training demands of a young soccer athlete.

She will also cover sport specifics such as what and when to eat before, during and after practices and games for optimal health and performance. Ashley will provide practical examples of healthy meals and snacks, so that you know how to put it into action. TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOP (1x) As a result of participating in this workshop, athletes on a team will have a better understanding of the need to work as a cohesive unit to accomplish team goals and will examine their approach to excellence. Topics covered in this workshop include preparing for success, embracing the pressure, trusting your instincts, effective goal-setting, perseverance in difficult situations and leadership skills. Application of these skills to areas outside of athletics is reinforced throughout the presentation.

9 FACILITIES FORTIUS SPORT & HEALTH More than 10 years in the making, Fortius Sport & Health is an integrated athlete development centre inspired by a vision around the best practices in sport & exercise medicine, science and training. The facility operated under a soft launch as of May 2013 and celebrated its Grand Opening Week September 28 October 6, That same week, it was announced that the Canadian Women's National Soccer Team will be a Resident Training Partner on the road to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games and still prepares for all their tournaments in this facility.

Here our players will have everything they need to focus on their athletic development and training goals.

On the first day of the camp we will invite all the players and parents to do a quick tour of the facilities. During the tour you will see where the players will be sleeping, training, and doing all the extra activities.

14 FAQs Are phones allowed? Yes, players are allowed to bring their cell phones with them, however they must be kept in their rooms. Cell phones will not be allowed during training or at any of the workshops. Should the players bring any extra cash? All the expenses for the players are covered (meals, laundry, etc.), but it is always a good idea for them to have some extra cash in case they want to purchase any snacks or have an emergency situation. Will allergies and dietary restrictions be taken into account? Yes, we will provide specific lunches and meals for each player in accordance to their dietary restrictions (halal, kosher, vegetarian, peanut-free, etc) Will there be a laundry service included? Yes, players will be able to wash their clothes everyday. This service is included in the price. Is the camp open to boys and girls? Yes, boys and girls are welcome to join the program.
