36 Other Crops Potatoes: Increased acres (modest) & production (due to yields) especially in Colorado. Not strong trade or domestic demand difficult to find current market data. Soft prices until next summer. Malting barley: Good premiums but data vacuum. Weather related but weather other places. If plenty of barley then good premium for high quality and if weak supply then poor premium. Input Market Outlook Summary Soft everything. Even land valuations Risks moderating. Softening fuel costs with no volatility Fertilizer Chemicals Supply industries remain operating undercapacity & unwilling to take risk. We haven t had this much cheap energy in a while.
