3 Official Qualification Tournament for Barranquilla 2018 Central and Caribbean Games General Qualification Provisions Each country may enter 1 athlete kyorugy weight division. Each country may qualify a maximum of 8 male and 8 female athletes for the qualifying tournament. And 5 females and 5 male Poomsae athletes. Host Country qualifies one direct spot for each division. Qualified spots shall be considered as follow; Male Kyorugy Qualification. Top 7 Athletes Female Kyorugy Qualification. Top 6 Athletes Individual Poomsae Competition. Top 6 Athletes (M/F) Free Style Team Poomsae Comp. Top 2 Teams (M/F) Poomsae Pair Competition. Top 3 Pairs Eligibility 1. Holder of the represented nationality. 2. Holder of recommendation and recognition of the National Association. 3. Holder of the WT Global Athlete (GAL) Holder of WT Coach Permit for Coaches. Participants All the participants must be nationality holders of the represented country. Every contestant is required to present a Member National Association endorsement for competition. Competition Rules Current Competition rules in force for WT and PATU. Available at; Single elimination format for kyorugi. Age Every competitors must be at least fifteen (15) years old, born in 2003 or before.

4 Coaches Qualifications The minimum qualification requirements for coaches are as follows. All coaches must be at least 15 years of age as required by CACSO. All Coaches must be holders of the 2018 WT Coach Permit (obtained through the WT Coach Permit Seminar). All participating coaches that do not have 2018 WT Coach Permit, must take 2018 WT Coach permit seminar conducted by WT Pan America (PATU) one day prior to the qualification tournament. Coach permit fee is USD$ Coaches are required to have 2018 WT Kyorugi Coach permit and 2018 WT Poomsae Coach Permit. Coaches Dress Code During all the competition all coaches are obliged to wear a formal suit. Coaches that do not follow the dress code would not be allowed into the field of play. Technical Meeting The technical meeting will be held on March 06. The time will be publish in the Official program by the Organizing Committee. Sport Equipment and Video Replay Organizing Committee will provide Gen2 DAEDO PSS and e-head Gear for all the participating athletes. However, every participant is responsible for bringing their own, gloves, Gen2 sensor socks, arm, shin and mouth protectors. IVR will be provided accordingly to WT Rules and Regulations. Official Uniform (Dobok) All contestants are required to use white taekwondo uniform (dobok) with V neck from PATU/WT recognized brands, in good conditions. Black Belts must use official recognized Black Belt Uniforms. No personal Patches, embroidery, logos, athletes names and any designs are allowed on the uniform. Only representing MNA names on the back of the uniform is allowed. Any official MNA patches or official MNA logo designs are allowed. No tapes are allowed in any part of the uniform.

5 Protection Equipment All athletes must use recognized safety protection equipment, as well as recognized headgears (Hong in red and Chung in blue), oral protector, groin guard, forearm shin and in-step protectors by the time of entering the competition area. Groin guard, forearm and shin protections must be worn inside of the Taekwondo uniform. It is prohibited any extra object on the head additional to the headgear. Any religious article must be prior approved and must be used under the headgear, inside the dobok and must not cause any type of obstruction or lack of visibility for the opponent. Points per medal overall No points are accessed for the qualification tournament. This event is strictly for Winning qualification spots for each MNAs. Weight-in Athletes weigh-in will take place 1 day prior to each division competition day, the time will be set by the Organizing Committee and publish within the official program. Please follow the official weigh-in schedule to be announced upon your arrival. During the weigh-in, the male athlete shall wear underpants and the female athlete shall wear underpants and brassiere. NO athlete is allow to weight in in complete nudity. Competition time Senior: 3 rounds of 2 minute competitions with 1 minute rest time between rounds. Poomsae competition Poomsae competition to be performed will be defined during the technical meeting on March 06. Schedule will be published in the official program.

6 Registration method and deadlines. Regular Registration Deadline: Monday, February , HRS (Mexico City Local Time) National team entries will only be accepted directly through the organizing committee by using official registration form included in this information package. And through webpage Please submit your team s entry directly to the OC of Mexico by Feb. 26 early registration Deadline by using address at ri@mexicoopen2018.com, and send a copy to PATU Tournament director, Mr. Chuong Pham at eey314@yahoo.com. All entry fees must be paid by cash in USD onsite at the registration area to the OC in Mexico upon arrival in Monterrey with prior agreement. *Registration can only be done with a valid Global 2018 WT License. Registration fees, terms and conditions for participation. *Registration FEES CAN NOT BE REIMBURSED BY ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! 1) Each participant is responsible for their own air ticket to Monterrey, accommodation, board and local transportation. 7 International Referees PATU will appoint the total amount of 45 International Referees. International Referees are required to cover for their own round-trip airfares. The Organizing Committee shall pay for the expenses for four (4) nights stay of room and board. Check-in on Monday, March 05 and check out on Friday March 09, The Organizing Committee shall pay a per diem of US$100 per competition day. (total 2 days; US$200). Local Transportation Organizing Committee will not provide local transportation for the participating teams, each team is responsible of their own transportation. Accommodation Please refer to our Accommodation Guide: Medical Services Organizing Committee will only provide medical services for emergencies during competition if any injury is occurred. Contestants are responsible for further injury and hospitalization expenses. All participants are requested to read and sign the liability waiver attached at the end of this outline. It is mandatory for all participants and MNAs to have an updated medical insurance and have all the information available at any time in case of any emergency. I am fully aware of the following: 1) Physical activities imply risks and I can suffer an injury in any time that can cause; permanent damages, disability, paralysis and death. 2) Above mentioned risks could be caused by my own, other contestants or officials actions or Organizing Committee during the competition. 3) Risks may also be social or economical lost that may not be known or predicted by me in this moment.
