1 Dear taekwondo friends, We are happy to inform you that Taekwondo club ZLATNI LJILJANI Sarajevo, after eight successful years of organizing International Taekwondo Championship Olympic Open, is organizing the 1 th International Taekwondo Championships BOSNIA OPEN, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 31 January 01 February 2015, in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is an official WTF G-1 Class tournament which can also be found on the ETU calendar and it is open to all clubs and national teams. We recommend taking part in this tournament to all our fellow taekwondo teams, because in addition to gaining ranking points, they can also gain extra points to qualify for the first European Olympic Games in Baku. Sarajevo is a beautiful Olympic city since 1984, when it was the host for the Winter Olympic Games. Today, Sarajevo is ready for new sport challenges, and it longs to host new guests who will awaken its Olympic spirit. For the past eight years, with our International Taekwondo Championships OLYMPIC OPEN, we have hosted teams clubs from numerous countries, such as: Greece, Iran, Germany, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Poland, Slovakia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, Lithuania and Austria. We are inviting you to honor this sports event with your presence, and to take part in awakening of the Olympic spirit and spreading of Taekwondo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 3 7. CONDITION OF PARTICIPATION: The WTF Global Licence is a mandatory taekwondo passport to participate in this Tournament for all athletes and officials. To receive an event credential onsite and participate proof of an approved WTF Global Licence in the form of the licence card or GMS system generated confirmation page is required upon onsite check in. WTF Global Licence registrations & renewals can only be made through the WTF recognized Member National Associations and application should be made at least 1 month before the tournament starts to ensure the licence can be processed and approved in time. Onsite registration for a WTF Global Licence is not possible and those without proof of a WTF Global Licence will be refused participation. All competitors have to prove their age and nationality by presenting their passport or identification card at the weigh-in. Those who are not recognized as adults by law in their own country must submit a passport or indentification card together with a written declaration of consent (please find below) at registration signed by parents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation. 8. COACHES: Coaches can enter the competition area only with proper sportswear. Coaches who are participating in the G1 Tournament without Global Licence will have to pay a fine of 200 EUR. 9. REFEREES: Referees must be licensed by WTF, and must send their application before 15 January 2015, to tesovicp@gmail.com Only International referees will be accepted. Round trip airfare should be paid by each participating referee. The Organizing Committee will provide accommodation with the full board from January 30, 2015 (check in time at 12:00) to February 02, 2015 (check out time at 12:00) and allowance for two days. International referees will receive an allowance of 75 EUR for each day of the tournament. 10. 4 11. CATEGORIES: WTF G1 Ranking Cadets: born in 2001, 2002, 2003 Juniors: born in 1998, 1999, 2000 Seniors: born in 1997 and older Juniors born in 1998 may compete as seniors. 12. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Senior male: 2 Geup or higher Senior female: 3 Geup or higher Juniors, cadets male/female: 4 Geup or higher Juniors who participate in the senior competition must have the qualification required for seniors. Cadets and juniors can only compete in one age categories. 13. PICTURES OF OFFICIALS AND ATHLETES FOR OFFICIAL ACCREDITATIONS: Every team must send profile pictures (any size) with names, of all participating officials and athletes, until 15 January :59h, to our bosniaopen@gmail.com 20. ENTRY FEE: 75 per competitor for every applied competitor. Entry fee is payable in cash during the registration, or via bank account. Entries after Deadline will not be accepted. If the athlete registered on-line does not take part in the competition for some reason, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before the deadline his/her team official must fully (100%) pay his/her Entry fee for participation. Entry fee is not refundable at any time after the deadline! 21. CHANGE OF WEIGHT: Weight class change after 15 January, 2015 will have a fine of 20 EUR in cash at the registration 22. Neither the organizer nor the promoter of the event can be held responsible for any damages or injuries and therefore I declare that there exists a valid insurance that will cover costs of possible injuries for my son/daughter, or that I will accept all costs in connection with possible injuries or damages by myself. Dinner in the restaurant of the hotel is available in the form of a rich dinner buffet. This Dinner can be used only with lunch coupon purchased at the reception and costs 10 EUR. Under no circumstances can Organizer be held responsible for any accident, injury, delay, loss or theft of effects and luggage. Organizer acts as agent for the hotel and cannot be held responsible in any way for lack of performance of the hotel. By paying for hotel accommodation, we verify that we have read and agreed to the terms.
