4 All Athletic Events Pre-registration is required. Absolutely no on-site registration Ohio Senior Olympics (OSO) STATE GAMES are open to anyone turning 50 on or before December 31, Proof of age may be required upon check in. Age group for competition is determined by your age as of December 31, Age categories will be divided by male and female in five-year increments; 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, etc The OSO STATE GAMES Committee reserves the right to combine age groups for competition purposes when necessary. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be presented to the 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd place finishers, male & female, in each age group for each event. Medals will not be mailed, you must accept them in person at the conclusion of your event. Please arrive a half hour before your event s predicted start time. Individual heat times may vary depending on the number of registered athletes. The latest event information will be posted on our website when available: Include your when registering. A program with heat sheets, brackets and race maps will be ed prior to all events to registered athletes prior to each event. Athlete packets may be picked up at the check-in table for your registered event. An will be sent to you confirming your registration. You must accept the t-shirt size you ordered. All fees are non-refundable unless the OSO STATE GAMES Committee cancels an event. The OSO STATE GAMES Committee reserves the right to cancel events due to low enrollment or inclement weather. In case of inclement weather, all rain delays and cancellations will be reported on our hotline at ALL athletes are expected to read and understand both the general OSO rules and the rules governing their competition prior to competing in the State Games. OSO STATE GAMES: RULES Doubles/Partners Events EACH doubles player must list their partner s name on the registration form in the space available. We do NOT offer partner matching. Visit for partner matching help. Team Events ALL team members MUST sign the OSO waiver (found at the check-in table) before tournament play may begin. The Team Captain must submit the team s roster including: Completed team roster Team fees Team members may participate in individual events but must complete a separate individual sport registration form and pay the individual athlete registration fees. Athletes may compete on up to 2 teams for each sport as long as they are in different age divisions. Age divisions are determined by the youngest team member (non-coach) as of December 31, Non-playing team members (coaches) can be under 50 but must be listed on the roster and sign the waiver. Non-playing team members will receive a t-shirt and will be eligible for any medals the team wins. Teams must be of one gender. Changes or additions to team rosters will NOT be permitted after May 25, 2018 (close of registration.)
