9 Cross Country Finish Line Video Required (may be smart phone) Cancelation Policy: In the case of 2-day events, each event organizer must dedicate which day is for US Cup standings. The US Cup Committees preference is to schedule this on the first day of competition. In situations when the event cannot be held on day one, it may be held on day two. In the event of complete event cancelation, registration fees will be refunded to the athletes. Marketing & Sponsors: USANS has sponsorship rights, but will work in collaboration with the event organizer(s) to avoid conflicts. A US Cup logoed banner will be provided at each site for placement in the outrun. LiveStream: LiveStream is the web-based system USA Nordic Sport uses to broadcast ski jumping events live on the internet. Currently, a viewer is required to go to register (for free) and follow USA Nordic. We are hoping LiveStream will offer the option for USA Nordic to embed the video stream into our website, but this feature is not available at this time. We will film with one camera and do our best to have a live announcer at all available locations. In order for the live streaming of the US Cup event at your event/site, the following will be required: - Power (three items require power) - Hard internet connection is preferable (4G may be discussed if available) - Acceptable filming/broadcast location (i.e. top of judges tower, bottom of the hill, etc.) US Cup - 9
10 Volunteers: It is requested that clubs provide 2-3 volunteers to assist with the operation and broadcast of ski jumping events through LiveStream.com. (1) Camera operation, (2) live commentary (recognizing the need for sensitivity and positivity), and (3) live web chat on a computer are the three areas USA Nordic requests assistance. Please let the US Cup Coordinators know how many positions your club will be able to assist with so we are able to plan accordingly for each event. Nordic Combined Format: Organizers are encouraged to be flexible and creative in their race- either mass start before jumping, or (preferably) Gunderson format may be used. Assistance with calculations is readily available. Consider using your outrun or nearby trails to have a course that may be a short as 1/2 km for a 5-10 km race. Disclaimer: Any appeals, concerns, protests, or other issues that may arise before, during, or after US Cup events will to be decided at the discretion of the USA Nordic Sports Board of Directors.
