5 UPDATES OCA MEDICAL COMMITTEE & ANTI-DOPING PANEL in Jakarta, Indonesia on 24 th January 2017 INASGOC was hosting the OCA Medical & Doping Control Panel in 24 January 2017 hold at INASGOC Headquarter Office in Senayan, Jakarta that was led by Dr. M. Jegathesan, Chairman of OCA Medical Committee. The meeting was attended by INASGOC Medical & Doping Control Department,Indonesia Anti-Doping Agency (LADI), Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia personnel, and other representatives that will be taking part in the 18 th Asian Games Jakarta - Palembang MEDICAL SERVICES FOR ASIAN GAMES FAMILY Complying with the guidance provided by the OCA Medical Committee, INASGOC will provide Medical Services in both host cities, Jakarta and Palembang. The Medical Services plan will cover Athletes Villages, Hotels, Competition & Training Venues, and other Non-Competition Venues during the Official Games period on 15 August 4 September, In addition, NOC is planned to have a Medical space in the Athletes Villages depends on the size of the delegation. INASGOC will also prepare Medical Center for spectators in every Competition Venue, Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony Venue. NOC will receive 18 th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018 designated Medical Handbook by early 2018 followed with the distribution of Medication Notification Form, Heal Professional Notification Form, and Drug Formulary & NOC Medical Agreement Form to be dully fulfilled and deliver back to INASGOC as specified in INASGOC Key Dates & Timelines. DOPING CONTROL IN 18 TH ASIAN GAMES 2018 Working closely with WADA, INASGOC will manage doping-tests over the duration of the Games. More or less 1,200 tests are foreseen to be done. Seventy percent will be conducted during the "In-Competition" period, where Asian Games competitors can be tested at any time without notice or in advance and thirty percent of the tests will be conducted starting the opening date of the Athletes Villages until the date of Closing Ceremony. WADA accredited laboratory will be analyzing samples taken during 18 th Asian Games Jakarta - Palembang Determined laboratory will have similar responsibility during Asian Games Test Event in November 2017 that is planned to include ten (10) sports. 6 69 TH OCA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING In Sapporo, Japan On 19 th February 2017 INASGOC PROGRESS REPORT PRESENTATION INASGOC were invited by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to the 69 th OCA Executive Board (EB) Meeting on 19 th February 2017 at Grand Sapporo Hotel, Sapporo Japan to present the progress report of the Games. INASGOC delegation has one main mission at hand, officially informing OCA about Indonesia s progress on preparing the 18 th Asian Games Jakarta Palembang At the same time, OCA are holding the 5 th Asian Winter Games (AWG) in Sapporo and Obihiro northern part of Japan. In the meeting, INASGOC have an opportunity to give a direct reports to the OCA. Presented by INASGOC President, Mr Erick Thohir, the INASGOC deliver progress report with a data presentations and two (2) videos of the Games to the meeting. After the presentation delivered few suggestions and inquiries made by the EB Members. However, overall OCA admitted that they are delighted with Indonesia preparations on administering the 18 th Asian Games Jakarta Palembang OCA President, Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah, said that Indonesia have made a great progress since the last Executive Board Meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam which was held on 24 th September INASGOC #3 February 2017
7 69 th OCA Executive Board Meeting Sheikh Al Sabah informed the meeting that the OCA have been monitoring Indonesia s progress from technical side and others, especially since OCA opened a Representative Office in Jakarta last December OCA heard many positive things, furthermore, Sheikh Al Sabah appreciate Indonesia Government, INASGOC, and also Coordination Committee for the efforts. Furthermore, kindly make sure that your NOC Relations Head of Zone have received the correct postal address of your respective NOC as we will use the submitted data to deliver the invitation, accordingly.
