Categories / Age: Junior Male and Female. One contestant per weight category. Those, who were born between January 1 st 1994 and December 31 st 1997, are eligible to participate. 7. Award Presentation: 1 st place One gold medal 2 nd place One silver medal 3 rd place One bronze medal to each Trophies for National Teams: The 3 first ranked teams (female, male and in total will each get a trophy). The ranking position of the teams will be decided by the Olympic System. All contestants and team officials participating in the European Championships will receive a certificate of participation. 11. Conditions for Participation: Round trip airfare and accommodation of room and board shall be borne by the participating National Associations. The entry fee of Euro per male team and Euro per female team shall be enclosed in the Entry Forms for participation. 12. Team and officials registration is only online possible by TPSS. 2

4 13. WTF recognized Taekwondo Uniform (Dobok) and Protective Equipment: The participating contestants shall wear the WTF recognized Taekwondo uniform (Dobok). The WTF recognized protective equipment of trunk protector will be provided by the sponsor. Groin guard, forearm, shin guard and headgear recognized by the WTF shall be carried by the participants for their personal use. Wearing of the WTF recognized Taekwondo Uniform (Dobok) and protective equipment will be checked at the inspection desk before entering into the contest area and any contestants wearing unrecognized Dobok and /or protective equipment shall not be permitted to compete. Daedo PSS will be used in this championship. 14. Medical Control: Use of drugs or doping by any chemical substances prescribed in the WTF Regulations for Doping Control is strongly prohibited. The ETU will carry out medical doping test among the winners at random sampling and any winner who refuses to undergo the testing or who proves to have committed a breach of the regulations for Doping Control shall be removed from the final standings, and a disciplinary action will be taken. 15. Indemnities: It is the responsibility of each National Association to ensure that their contestants have filled in the participation forms correctly and have signed them thereby indemnifying the organizers, the officials and other contestants from any claims of injuries, losses or otherwise arising in the course of participation in these championships or any activities linked therewith. It is the responsibility of each National Association to ensure that sufficient insurance coverage has been taken out for all officials and participants. Participants without proper participation entry forms and without sufficient insurance coverage will not be allowed to compete. 16. Head of Team Meeting and Drawing Lots: This will be conducted by ETU officials. The head of team meeting and drawing lots will be conducted one day prior to the competition in the presence of officials and representatives of the participating nations. The draw will be carried out from Fin weight to Heavy weight category in the English alphabetical order of the official names or the participating nations. An official will be designated to draw lots on behalf of the official of any participating nation not present at the draw. The order of the draw may be changed if this has been decided during the Head of Team / Manager. 3

5 17. Weigh-in: The weigh-in of the contestants takes place on the previous day of the weight division they compete. During the weigh-in, the male contestant shall wear underpants and the female contestant shall wear underpants and brassiere. However the contestant may weigh-in nude if he/she wishes to do so. The weigh-in will be conducted once. However, one more weigh-in within the time limit of the official weigh-in will be granted to those contestants who did not qualify the first time. 18. Closing date for entries: The closing date for receipt of entry forms by the organizer is August 25, Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. Strict compliance with the ruling is required. 19. Payments: All the payments (entry-fee and accommodation) should be paid together at the same time to the organizer. CY Swift BIC... BCYPCY2N 20. Accommodation: Accommodation charges for room and boarding of the teams will be born by the participating National Taekwondo Federations. Please note that hotel reservations that are cancelled after the deadline ( August 25, 2011 ) will be fined with 50 % of the total hotel reservation cost. Hotel reservations that are cancelled after August 30, 2011 will be fined with 100 % of the total hotel reservation cost. 21. Transportation: Round trip airfare of the teams will be born by the participating National Taekwondo Federations. The Organizing Committee will arrange transportation from the Airport to the official hotels and back as well as the transportation between the hotels and to the sport hall. Transportation will be organized for the teams that have made hotel reservations through the Organizing Committee. National Taekwondo Federations must fully fill in the attached Forms and return it to the Organizer before August 25,

6 22. Others: Each participating team should bring two delegation flags with size of 90 cm x 130 cm and CD of the national anthem. All contestants and officials participating in the 18 th European Junior Male and Junior Female Taekwondo Championships will receive a diploma signed by the ETU President. 23. Visa: If your National Team needs Cyprus visa, please send completely filled-out Visa Details Form (included in the Invitation Packet) and passport copies of all your team members to the Organizing Committee ( pafos2011@mail.com) informing the Organizing Committee of the location of the Cyprus Embassy to which your team will apply for visa. For countries without Cyprus Embassy, the Organizing Committee will make arrangements for the National Teams from these countries only so that they can receive visas upon their arrival in Cyprus. These countries are requested to send a prior request to the Organizing Committee: pafos2011@mail.com before August 25, Urgent Note for Hotels: Reservations and Registrations are only valid when payments have been received and can be confirmed by the Bank.
