3 2012 WBPF MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BODYBUILDING AND PHYSIQUE SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE HELD IN BANGKOK "CITY OF THE ANGEL'S" FROM 4-10 DECEMBER - INSPECTION REPORT AND COMPETITION RULES Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Association under the great leadership of President Douglas Latchford and his dedicated team of officials bid to host the 2012 World Event while they attended the Congress in Malacca, Malaysia last year in November, and it was unanimously approved by the house. Governor Kanokphand Chulakasem of Sports Authority of Thailand Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Association is ably led by Assistance Secretary Boontham Sriboontong and Vice President and Secretary Sugree Supawarikul, both these men were assigned to work for this project and to ensure success. Both these gentlemen were involved in last year's Asian Championships and as well as the World Women's Championships held in Bangkok so they have great experience in organizing international events.

4 Vice President and Secretary Sugree Supawari rikul, Datuk Paul Chua and TBPA is organizing this global event because of their deep love and great respect for His Majesty the King of Thailand. December is a universally happy month and more so in Thailand where it s a very special month. It s His Majesty the King s 85 th Birthday and also National Fathers Day on 5 December. His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and

5 The 4th WBPF World Bodybuilding Championships is under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism. Bangkok today is the vast sprawling capital city of Thailand, it covers an area of some 1,568 sq.kms (606 sq. miles), making it one of the largest cities in the world with a population estimated at around 12 million with a further 9 million tourist visitors a year. Bangkok though is not just about shopping and entertainment, their culture and history are very important and still preserved in this city. The city is home to over 400 Buddhist temples, the highest density in a city anywhere in Asia. Pagodas, Temple, Palace, Monument and

6 The city has two International Airports, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the main airport and acts as a major "hub" within Asia. Don Muang Airport (DMK) is the former main airport, and is now the home for the majority of the discount airlines operating both within Thailand and to several other international destinations. His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, President and his Executive Council sincerely appreciate the Thai people's strong determination and efforts to make the 4th World Bodybuilding Championships and Electoral Congress a great success.

7 Restaurant available in Twin T POINTS TO OBSERVE 1. EXTRA OFFICIALS Any judges, coaches or trainers who are not official participants (Athletes or Delegates) will be responsible for all of their own expenses. If your National Federation wishes to bring a judge, coach or trainer, it is recommended that your National Federation select this individual to be an Official Delegate for your National Federation, otherwise, this individual will be responsible for all of his/her own expenses. This ruling also applies to family members. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE MADE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

WEIGH-IN AND REGISTRATION Weigh-in and Registration will take place at the Charas Muang Room, 2nd Floor, Twin Towers Hotel on 6th December. It is the responsibility of the Chief Delegate or Team Manager to make sure that all athletes are on time for the Weigh-in and Registration. If an athlete is late for the Weigh-in and Registration, that athlete will be disqualified and will have to pay all of his own expenses. Twin Towers

10 EACH ATHLETE MUST BRING HIS/HER PASSPORT AND POSING MUSIC TO THE WEIGH-IN AND REGISTRATION, FAILING WHICH THE ATHLETE WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. 3. SECRETARIAT The Organizing Committee will maintain a Secretariat at the Banthadthong room on the 3 rd floor of the hotel from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. from 4-10 December You may obtain information and assistance from the Secretariat. Lobby & Standard Room - Twin Towers Hotel 4. BACKSTAGE ACCESS/DRESSING ROOM ACCESS Access to the backstage and/or dressing room areas shall be strictly limited to essential personnel only. Coaches and trainers who assist athletes in the dressing room area must be of the same sex as the athlete they are assisting. 5. CAMERA/VIDEO TAPE EQUIPMENT Camera and/or video tape equipment shall be strictly prohibited in the backstage and/or dressing room areas except when used by the WBPF authorized media persons and, in any event, these devices shall be strictly prohibited in the dressing room area. 6. PARADE OF NATIONS National dress code or track suits to be worn by delegates and/or officials taking part in the Parade of Nations. Only one (1) delegate and

11 one (2) two competitors per country must take part in the Parade of the Nations. 7. JUDGES In order to assist the WBPF Judges Committee in their selection of judges for this Championship, please forward your nomination for Judges from your National Federation as soon as possible but no later than 25th October Judges must possess an International/Continental recognized judge's card and must produce to the Judges Committee at Bangkok. BOX AE HULST NETHERLANDS FAX: wbpsfwalter@zeelandnet.nl 8. ENTRY PASS CARD Entry Pass will be issued to the Weigh-in and backstage area during the Weigh-in, Pre-judging and Finals. It will be distributed at the Judges/Team Managers Meeting as follows: Five (5) or more competitor - two (2) Pass will be issued and less than five (5) competitors, one Entrance Pass will be given. 9. MEDIA ACCREDITATION All media accreditation, except local media, shall be controlled by the WBPF. All persons wishing to obtain media accreditation for this event must register with the WBPF by completing and signing the WBPF Media Accreditation Form. The form must be submitted to the WBPF by at wbpsfpaul@yahoo.com. no later than 4th November 2012.

12 10. ATHLETES WITHOUT DELEGATES All athletes competing at WBPF World Championships must be members in good standing of their National Federations. Any athlete who arrives without a Delegate must carry an Official Letter of Authorization of Participation from his/her National Federation, failing which the athletes will not be eligible to participate. FAILURE TO HONOUR FINAL ENTRY FORM DEADLINE Deadlines are set to assist the Organizer with arranging accommodations, meals, onsite transportation and other Championships activities. A failure to respect these deadlines is a breach of the WBPF rules. If a National Federation fails to respect the deadline written on the Final Entry Form, each "Official Participant" from that federation will be required to pay all of his or her own expenses, including accommodations, meals, onsite transportation, and access to the Pre-Judging, Finals and Farewell Banquet. 12. MISREPRESENTATION Misrepresentation is a serious breach of the WBPF Code of Ethics and occurs when an "official" of a National Federation deliberately misrepresents the number of Athletes and Delegates so as to obtain free-of-charge accommodations, meals, onsite transportation, and access to the Prejudging, Finals and Farewell Banquet, and other

13 amenities at the expense of the Organizer. Part of this misrepresentation may be a false claim that a person is an Athlete only to have that so-called Athlete fail to officially register as a competitor at the Weigh-in or, once having officially registered, fail to compete. MEDICAL WITHDRAWAL Once officially registered, no Athlete may withdraw from competition, without the prior approval of the WBPF Judges' Chairman, who has the right to verify the reason for the withdrawal. Any National Federation that fails to seek the prior approval of the WBPF Judges' Chairman before withdrawing an Athlete shall, for that Athlete's non-participation, is fined an amount equal to the Special Package Rate. 14. ATTENDANCE AT THE WBPF WORLD CONGRESS All National Federations officially participating in the Championships must attend the Congress meeting, including National Federations with athletes and no delegates. In this case, the athlete must attend and represent his country at the Congress.

REGISTRATION FEE Each official participant (Athletes and Delegates, including delegates without competitors), must pay the Registration Fee of US$45 per day per person (total US$270) to the Organizing country. This fee is payable upon arrival to the Organizing Committee before checking into your room. THE REGISTRATION FEE IS COMPLETELY SEPERATE FROM THE HOTEL SECURITY DEPOSIT. 16. HOTEL SECURITY DEPOSIT A hotel security deposit of US$100 per person is required upon check-in for incidental and personal expenses that may arise (telephone, minibar, laundry, room services etc.). The unused portion of this deposit will be refunded at check-out in the same currency as remitted. In order to facilitate matters, the Chief Delegate or Team Manager will be asked to provide a Credit Card or Cash to cover the deposit for the entire team. This individual will be fully responsible for all expenses incurred by any members of his or her team. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please advise your team before departure not to incur additional expenses.

DATE, VENUE AND OFFICIAL HOTEL Date : 4 10 December 2012 Bangkok City Thailand Venue : Nimibutr National Stadium, Pathumwan, Bangkok (pre-judging & finals) Hotel : The Twin Towers Hotel, Bangkok 88 Rong Muang, Patumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. Tel: (66-2) Fax: (66-2) OFFICIAL AND ATHELETES REGISTRATION FEES US$45.00 per person per day, the total amount is US$ for each person for the duration of 6 nights stay in a twin bedded sharing room. This fee includes hotel accommodation, 3 meals per day, shuttle to and fro from airport to hotel and to competition venue and farewell party.

17 20. PAYMENTS Only Cash Payments in US$ or Thai Baht will be accepted for registration fees and for other expenses including your shopping spree at the malls. You may use Credit Card payment in large departmental stores. 21. PARTICIPATION RULES a. Country with less than two (2) competitors - only one (1) official will be allowed to pay the official registration fee; b. Country with three (3) and above competitors two (2) officials will be allowed to pay the official registration fee; c. Country participating with woman athletes may send one (1) extra female official and she need to pay only the official registration fee NOTE: A COUNTRY THAT EXCEEDS THE ABOVE QUOTA WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR OFFICIAL THE SUPPORTERS FEES. d. Official or any other guests requesting for a single room have to pay the difference levied by the Organizer based on the Supporters Rates published herein. 22. EXTRA DELEGATES, OFFICIALS AND SUPPORTERS All extra delegates, officials and supporters are required to pay as follows for accommodation at the Twin Towers Hotel: Single Room - US$ per person Cash Payment Twin Sharing Room - US$ (2 persons in a room) US$ per person, Cash payment. The above charges include airport transfers, 3 meals and farewell party, 6 nights hotel accommodation, tickets for the pre-judging and finals.

18 23. WBPF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WBPF Executive Committee members and Standing Committee members are exempted from paying the Registration fees, including Patrons and Honorary Life Members. Note: Standing Committee members with the exception of the Chairman and Secretary of each sub-committee may have to share a twin sharing room. If a sub-committee member request for a single room, he or she must pay the difference of US$ for a single room. 24. EARLY ARRIVALS AND LATE DEPARTURES Any team or officials arriving early or departing late are required to pay for the extra days per night for a single room US$100 (Cash) and for twin sharing US$ Only shuttle service will be provided from the airport and return. Meals on your own, this is excluded from the rate quoted to you. 25. PRELIMINARY ENTRY AND FINAL ENTRY Please co-operate and submit your entry forms in time as per the closing dates shown in the forms. JUDGES Kindly nominate the name of your judges in advance; last minute submission will be rejected. All judges should use a grey suit with the official logo of WBPF and female judges with dark grey blazer with grey skirt or dress pants.

19 27. DOPING Doping will be conducted by the Thailand Anti-Doping Agency in collaboration with our WBPF Anti-Doping Committee. 28. NATIONAL ANTHEM/NATIONAL FLAG a. You must provide two (2) National Flags of your country. The flags must be manufactured of dense silk and must measure no more than 2.5 meters x 1.4 meters. b. You must also provide your National Anthem (shortened version) on CD. Video or Cassette not acceptable. 29. POSING MUSIC Posing music must be on CD only and produced with good quality. The music should be cued from the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his/her name on the CD for easy identification. THE USE OF PROFANE, VULGAR OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE IN POSING MUSIC IS PROHIBITED. FLIGHT 30. FLIGHT RECONFIRMATION RECONFIRMATION To reconfirm your flights from Bangkok, please contact the Secretariat within 24 hours upon your arrival. 31. PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO FOR ID CARDS All participants (Executive Members, Delegates, Competitors and Supporters) must send one recent passport size photo as an attachment together with the Entry Forms or by attachment with all their particulars clearly stated. This is for issuance of I.D. Cards. Failing to provide the photo, you will be charged US$20.00 for the I.D. photo by the Organizer.

20 32. VISA (VERY, VERY IMPORTANT) Please check with your travel agents or Ministry of Foreign Affairs if a VISA is required to enter into Thailand. If you need assistance from the host country, please let us know within the period of 60 days prior to the weighing in date. LAST MINUTE REQUEST WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED BY THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE. YOU NEED TO SEND A PASSPORT COPY AND PLEASE ENSURE THAT IT IS VALID MORE THAN 6 MONTHS TOGETHER WITH TWO PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOS SHOULD YOU NEED ASSISTANCE FOR A VISA. 33. IMPORTANT POINTS Any other points that are not stated in this information sheet of the Rules and Regulations, the current prevailing rules of the WBPF shall apply. 34.
