All finals will be held in the beautiful arena at the Parade in the middle of the historic city centre.

3 s-hertogenbosch 2019 hyundai world archery (para) championships Celebration of archery From 3 16 June 2019, the city of s- Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands) will be the archery centre of the world. The World Archery Championships and the World Archery Para Championships will be combined, to offer an optimum sports experience. The para-athletes will start this archery fest that lasts two weeks. All finals will be held in the beautiful arena at the Parade in the middle of the historic city centre. The venue the Parade is a historic square surrounded by high trees, situated at the foot of the nearly seven hundred-year-old Saint John s Cathedral in the attractive centre of s-hertogenbosch. The qualifications are taking place at the fields of rugby club The Dukes and the training sessions at the Zuiderpark. Both are just a 10-minute walk from the venue the Parade. To celebrate Archery2019 a major archery tournament for amateurs and professionals, Dukes of Archery, will be organized during the World Championships. This tournament is the ultimate dream for all archers: the possibility to shoot against the pro s!

TeamNL South-Korea and the United States of America may have dominated archery the past decades, the Dutch archers are certainly counted among the best in the world.

4 Archery2019 The World Archery (Para) Championships: will be biggest sport event in the Netherlands in 2019 and therefore not to be missed! Over 100 nationalities take part in these world championships and the event can count on extensive media coverage worldwide. This might create some new opportunities! TeamNL South-Korea and the United States of America may have dominated archery the past decades, the Dutch archers are certainly counted among the best in the world. Rick van der Ven (London 2012) and Sjef van den Berg (Rio de Janeiro 2016) became fourth at the last two Olympic Games, while Mike Schloesser is multiple world champion in the compound archery discipline. Recurve talent Steve Wijler made his professional debut in 2017 and surprised everyone by winning a World Cup and ending third at the World Championships. In 2018 he confirmed his potential by winning the European Championships. Also the women s compound team are on their way up by winning a bronze medal at one of the World Cup s in 2018.
