2 Individual and Team Matches TRIGGER WEIGHING/SAFETY CHECKS: Competitors must have the triggers of their rifles weighed and the required safety checks made in advance at the CMP Armorer Van across the road from Young Range. ALL VINTAGE SNIPER COMPETITORS MUST HAVE THEIR BLUE CARD COMPLETED BY A CMP ARMORER PRIOR TO RECEIVING SQUADDING ON THE LINE. Military Armorer Vans may also be able to perform trigger weighing services with certified trigger weights. The dates and hours that the CMP Armorer Van will be open are July 14-25, 6:00AM - 5:00PM. Approved Rifles must have 2017 Trigger Tape placed on the trigger guard. The only exception to this procedure will be if after a trigger certification a competitor s rifle is repaired by personnel in an armorer s van and the repair involves the trigger. Upon completion of the repair, the armorer who has done the work will reweigh the trigger to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulation. SCORER S DUTIES: Competitors are reminded that you will be required to perform duties as scorers in accordance with CMP Competition Rules for Service Rifle and Service Pistol Rule NRA HPR Rule indicates how you will be expected to perform those duties. You are the KEY person who must be able to validate the actions of the competitor you are scoring. Be alert for possible safety violations. Do not allow the competitor to leave the line with an unsafe rifle or cause an unsafe condition. Use of the Empty Chamber Indicator is required by rule The scorer is responsible for turning in the scorecard after it is signed by the scorer and competitor. TARGET PULLING DUTIES: Competitors are reminded that they are also responsible for performing target pulling duties in accordance with CMP Rule Competitors with approved special medical authorizations who cannot pull targets must provide substitute target pullers in accordance with Rule 4.5. When fulfilling target pulling duties, competitors serve as competition officials who are responsible for accurately and quickly scoring and signaling the scores of shots fired by competitors. 1

4 SUNDAY, JULY 16, VIALE RANGE CMP M16 RIFLE EIC MATCH 0600 Competitor shuttles begin running from paved parking lot to 200 yard line Competitors report to the firing line for target and relay assignments. Five relays will be fired. Relay rotations will be announced after squadding is issued Pits are sealed Commence fire. Alibis are not allowed. OLIVER HAZARD PERRY MATCH FOR SAFS COACHES & STUDENTS. All coaches and students in the Rifle SAFS that registered for the Oliver Hazard Perry Match will fire the match on Viale Range immediately after the M16 Rifle EIC Match concludes. 3

5 SUNDAY, JULY 16, RODRIGUEZ RANGE OLIVER HAZARD PERRY MATCH Competitors will be squadded on the 200 yard line beginning at Five relays will be squadded. 930 Competitor shuttles begin running initially from the paved parking lot area to the 200 yard line on Rodriguez Range. Two relays will fire first and two relays will report to the pits 1000 Squadding will begin at the 200 yard line on Rodriquez Range Commence fire. The course of fire will be 60 seconds of rapid fire sitting or kneeling from standing at the 200; 70 seconds of rapid fire prone from standing at the 300; and 20 minutes of slow fire prone at the Relays Oliver H. Pits will seal for the final stage The final stage of the President s Rifle Match will begin with a 10-minute preparation period. 6

(Report NAMES AND COMPETITOR NUMBERS of individuals assigned to operate targets.) Team captains must be prepared to submit a report of caliber employed by their shooters Pits are sealed Commence fire. There will be no lunch break There will be no pit changes. Scoring: The second relay of teams will score for the first relay of teams and vice versa. Course of Fire 200 yds. Slow Fire Standing 10 shots (10 minutes) 200 yds. Rapid Fire Sitting or Kneeling from Standing 10 shots (60 sec.) 300 yds. Rapid Fire Prone from Standing 10 shots (70 sec) 600 yds. Slow Fire Prone 20 shots (20 minutes) THURSDAY, JULY 20, RODRIGUEZ RANGE NATIONAL TROPHY TEAM MATCH 0615 Team captains/coaches called to firing line to turn in their team s target puller assignment cards. (Report NAMES AND COMPETITOR NUMBERS of individuals assigned to operate targets.) Report rifle calibers employed by firing members Pits are sealed 0700 Commence fire There will be no lunch break. There will be no pit changes. Scoring: Score for the team on the left. First three and last three teams on the line should exchange so no team is firing for themselves. 8

M1 CARBINE MATCH Sqaudding for Relay 5 will begin ½ hour after the NTT Team Match is complete. Relay 5 is for National Trophy Team competitors and support staff only. Relay 5 will begin after squadding is complete. FRIDAY, JULY 21, RODRIGUEZ RANGE NATIONAL TROPHY INFANTRY TEAM MATCH NOTE: Team Captains: There is a mandatory NTIT Team Captains Meeting, on Rodriguez Range, immediately after firing of the National Trophy Team Match on Thursday July 20 th TEAM CAPTAINS: THE LAST SQUADDED RELAY OF TEAMS WILL REPORT TO THE PITS FIRST AND OPERATE THE TARGETS FOR THE FIRST RELAY OF TEAMS First relay teams assemble at ammunition tables with 384 rounds of ammunition in bulk. Match officials will verify ammunition count. All other relays will assemble under the Petrarca Range shed until called to ammunition tables Pits are sealed Commence fire. There will be no lunch break. *When firing at 500 yards target numbers will not be fully visible. Teams should be mindful of their target bank approach, staying in their lane marked by ground flags. 9
