2 su RF-CF Rifle Iron Sights Steel Plate/Pin Shoot Match Directors: Larry Mongue & Artie Delpup On Feb.1 we had the first of many shoots as the weather is getting nicer. We had 16 shooters come out to enjoy shooting and a CHEESECAKE made by Artie Delpup which everyone liked almost better than shooting! Results - Rimfire Lever Action Rifle: 1st John Hagan, 2nd Gene Cooley, 3rd Keith McMahan. Rimfire Semi Auto Rifle: 1st Gene Cooley, 2nd John Hagan, 3rd Nelson Fagan. Centerfire Pistol Cartridge Lever Action Rifle: 1st John Hagan, 2nd Bill Tribble, 3rd Keith McMahan Centerfire Pistol Cartridge Semi Auto Rifle: 1st Larry Mongue, 2nd John Hagan, 3rd Keith McMahan Everyone seemed to like this match so I plan to schedule one for Dec. 27. Rimfire & Centerfire Benchrest Match March 8, 2014 Match Director: Larry Mongue Set-up 8:30am, Safety Meeting 9:45, match starts 10am, match finish 4ish. We will be having a Rimfire Rifle Benchrest match starting at 10am. Classes are: Hunter Iron Sights (25 shots-50yds); Hunter Scoped (25 shots-50yds); Open Iron Sights (25 shots-50 yds); Open Scoped (25 shots-50 yrds). Centerfire match will start about 12pm with classes: 6mm & Down Scoped Rifle (25 shots- 100yds). Above 6mm up to.308 Scoped Rifle (25 shots-100yds). New Class: Pistol Cartridge Carbine Rifle Iron Sights or non-magnified dot scope (25 shots - 50 yds) New Class: Pistol Cartridge Carbine Rifle Unlimited Scoped (25 shots -100 yrds). 3 Smallbore Postal Match The new smallbore postal match will begin this February. Postal matches allow competitors to fire separately on their home ranges, at their convenience, and mail their targets to the Match Director where they are scored and ranked. The postal match is run on an honor system. All entries are expected to comply with the rules set forth. The course-of-fire requires competitors to fire 20 shots, offhand at 50 yards with a 22 rimfire rifle. Entries will compete in either an iron sight or optical sight class. Targets can be obtained at the monthly club meeting or at the range if a club or match director is present. Targets must be postmarked by the last day of the month to be considered for that month s match. 4 2013 Shootist Shoot-off Standing 2012 Competitors The Annual Shootist Shoot-Off will be held this May. It will see the top ten shootist-point finalist facing off for the title of 2013 Shootist of the Year. The shoot-off will comprise several different matches designed to challenge the shooter across a broad range of marksmanship skill sets. The matches will test the shooter s accuracy and speed at varying distances, using both rimfire and centerfire rifles, pistols and shotgun. The total points of all matches will determine the 2013 Shootist Award winner. The following list identifies the top 15 shooters currently in the running as of January 31. Competitors just outside the top ten still have 2 months of competition to break into the top 10. Those just outside the top 10 will be named as alternates.
