14 ACCESSORIES ESCALATOR AND MOVING PAVEMENT CLEANER RF 40 - Application to choose brushes The use of the brushes depends on several things, mainly the kind of the escalator, the condition of the escalator and the amount of dirt. Suggestions for applications to choose of brushes for RF 40: Brushes 0,5 mm: - Use with shifting unit - Use for cleaning the raisers of the escalator - Use with easier dirt / dust Brushes 0,8mm: - Use with shifting unit - Use for cleaning the raisers of the escalator - Use with normal dirt Brushes 0,8 mm long - Use with deep striations in the stairs - Usage not optimal with shifting device Brushes 0,5 mm welded, double bristles - Usage enables a faster cleaning with very much dirt. - Usage not optimal with shifting device Brushes 0,75 mm grit - Very abrasive - Use to remove the coating of the escalator - Use to create an even optic at already damaged escalator coating - Only in cases where you don t need to take care for the escalator coating - Usage not optimal with shifting device - High abrasion creates a higher wear-out of the brush head This is not a general indication advice.
