A hand held light is required, weapon lights are optional. Bring extra batteries and train how you intend to fight. Bring inclement weather gear as required. 2 INSTRUCTORS: CLOSE QUARTER TACTICS-PISTOL/HANDS/KNIFE TBD CSAT, NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS PAUL HOWE-CSAT STAFF CSAT will host a three-day CLOSE QUARTER COMBATIVES COURSE in NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS. Close quarter pistol will be taught on day 1 along with empty hand techniques/stand up fighting on day one. Ground fighting will be covered on day 2 with more live fire pistol. Knife will be added in on day 3. This class is good for someone wanting to refine their short range, long range and hunting pistol skills and work on their fine mechanics with the handgun. During his tour in Special Operations, Paul spent two years as a Senior Instructor in Special Forces. Over the last three years Paul has been training law enforcement agencies across the United States. During my tour in Special Operations, I spent two years as a Senior Instructor and Sniper, instructing such topics as Basic Rifle Marksmanship and precision marksmanship. Students will be able to teach a comprehensive two day operator course on the completion of the instructor course. Students should have purchased my DVD s and practiced my drills prior to coming to the course as we will focus on more instruction than individual shooter development. In short, train up now and come ready to qualify. We reserve the right to send you home if not qualifying in 12 attempts Pistol and 12 attempts Rifle. Instructor course will be run Day 1-4. On day 1, instructors will be assigned a block of instruction to be delivered to new students on day 5-6 which will be graded. Instructors will also be required to pass a shooting test and score 70% on written exams to pass the course. This class is designed to teach students how to apply the below listed skills in a crisis situation. The class will culminate in long movement scenarios from a down vehicle to your house and from your house to a down family member s recovery and return. The skills listed below will be covered during UDC training. Safe link up and interface with the police will be discussed. How to set up a neighborhood support group for security and protection will also be addressed. PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good physical condition. Student should be able to run/walk two miles in 20 minutes or less. Completion of a reputable Basic Pistol and Rifle Class is required. The skills listed below will be covered during UDC training. You can use either white light and NVG s/laser to engage targets. We will work two long days, from 0800 to 2100 with appropriate meal breaks.
