1 CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW, SUNDAY, 13th MAY, Well done to everyone who has qualified for SPARKLE!! If you were placed 1 st or 2 nd at any SPARKET Show in 2017/2018 season you are eligible to enter this Championship Show in the Relevant Class. You may have qualified in more than one Championship Class so do check the list of Qualified Horses and Ponies on the SPARKET EQUESTRIAN EVENTS Facebook page. It is the Horse or Pony that qualifies so changes to rider or owner are allowed as long as the new Rider is correct for the Class. Young Handler and Junior Ridden Mountain & Moorland are exceptions to this rule and the Pony/Rider combination qualifies in both these Classes. Because this is a Championship Show feel free to dress up!! Male In Hand exhibitors can wear suits and bow ties, whilst Lady In Hand exhibitors may like to wear dark trousers/skirts with a light coloured top. Please note that Young Handlers and all Riders must still wear correct hard hats. Ridden exhibitors may like to wear dark coloured jackets and stocks. All Classes will be run in the same way as normal. There will be a Go Round and everyone will perform an individual Show. There will be finalist rosettes for all competitors and the top two competitors in every Championship will each receive a Sash. Outdoor Arena free for Warm Up ALL DAY. All SPARKLE CLASSES are i n the Indoor Arena OKop u down to steward from 9... if u cud be there from 8.4

2 It is particularly important that NO CARS park in the Horse Box Park at any time on the 13 th May. This is for your own safety. RULES *All persons entering, competing or otherwise taking part in the above show shall be considered as having read and accepted the following regulations. *NO CHILD AGED UNDER 3 YEARS ON SHOW DAY MAY COMPETE *Numbers to be collected from the Secretary on the Show Day *Riding Hats to standard BSI PAS , EN , ASTM F1163, SNELLE2001, AS/NZS , 2003, SAI GLOBAL must be worn at all times with the chinstrap fastened when mounted *The Show organisers hold no responsibility for any accident occurring at this show. *Horse Riding is a riskful sport, and you compete at your own risk. *Horses must be four years old and over in all the ridden classes. *Horses/Ponies DO NOT REQUIRE a JMB Height certificate. *Any suitable bridles may be worn and handles on saddles in the Lead Rein are permitted. *Spurs can only be worn when riding a horse exceeding 148cms. No Spur Rowels allowed. *Spurs are not allowed in any Mountain & Moorland Classes. *Stallions/Colts MUST be handled by persons aged 16years and over AT ALL TIMES and must not be left unattended at any time AND MUST WEAR STALLION DISCS. *Any fall of horse/pony/rider in the class will result in immediate disqualification and they must leave the ring without re-mounting. *Whips not to exceed 75cm (30 ). *The Judge s decision is final. * An exhibitor must not exhibit a horse/pony bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, his/her immediate family or his/her employer. *An exhibitor may not show under a Judge for whom he/she has produced a horse/pony in the same year. *A rider may not ride in a class judged by someone for whom he/she has ridden in a competition during the current year. *Competitors may be photographed for Sparket Equestrian Events Publicity in Newspapers, Magazines, Face Book and other media forms on Show Days. By taking part in any Sparket Equestrian Event competitors agree to being photographed for publicity purposes. *Horse Riding can be a dangerous activity. Newton Rigg EC and/or Sparket Equestrian Events cannot be held responsible for libelous actions at his event by competitors or otherwise. *PLEASE NOTE NO LUNGING AT ANY TIME in car park or arena. *The use of side or running or draw reins is forbidden at any time. * Any objections must be forwarded to the Secretary with 40 cash and a signed letter of complaint. Should the complaint be upheld the 40 cash will be returned to the objector.
