2 1.INTRODUCTION 1.1 Welcome note Rally Elektrėnai is the youngest rally, this year celebrating two years anniversary. It is taking place in one of the newest towns of Lithuania- Elektrėnai. It has been established only in 1960 in between of two biggest Lithuanian towns and capitals: Vilnius, the permanent capital and Kaunas that used to be a temporary capital during the history. However, new rally embraces roads with a long rallying history attracting adrenaline lovers and old rally wolfs from basically everywhere. Those, who live the rally moments really know how long back does the region holds on to and how many incredible corners and unforgettable humps Elektrėnai region hides. Rally that started last year was a great asset to automobile sports history. This year- expectations are even higher. There is a 3rd stage of FIA Baltic Rally Trophy happening together with the 6 th stage of Lithuanian Rally Championship. As well as last year, this season we want to stay constant and continue the direction we have been going to last year: organizing one day compact rally with great moments and attractions to everyone: teams, media and spectators. Rally is going to start with administrative checks on Friday, the 9 th of September, continuing with Reece, scrutineering and official opening ceremony in the evening. Saturday, the 10 th, we are going to start with two special stages that is going to be repeated after the service. After the lunch break and regrouping we are going to have another two special stages repeated after service. As a tradition, we are going to celebrate finish in the evening together with great concert and fireworks. 3 1.2. Regulatory power of this document This document purpose is informational only. It has no legal power. All information can be changed or added. All updates are going to be published in official rally website and in 2. COMPETITIONS and CLASSIFICATIONS Rally Elektrėnai 2016 consists of 4 different special stages that will be repeated twice. The total length of rally course 330 km. 122 km of them would be special stages going through Elektrėnai and Trakai regions and gravel roads. The reconnaissance with the rally course is going to be on Friday, as all main rally will take place on Saturday, the 10 th of September FIA Baltic Rally Trophy - 3 rd Event Rally Elektrėnai 2016 will have an honour to be a part of the new regional championship initiated by FIA. In this series points are collected during five different rallies among Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania. Winners of fourwheel drive and front-wheel drive classifications will have an opportunity to participate in final event happening in central Europe. During this final competition the winners of various regions are going to compete to find out the winner of European trophy Lithuanian Rally Championship - 6 th Event As it was a really warm winter, Lithuanian Rally Championship started only with the 3-rd event happening in Rally Talsi, Latvia. It only proves that there is going to be a great fight for points during the season and Rally Elektrėnai 2016 becomes really important in rallies calendar. Service Park opens 09 September 2016 (Friday) 9:00 and closes 10 September 2016 (Saturday) 23:00. There is no flexi-service, remote service zone or remote refueling zone during the competition. The Service Area of 45m2 will be reserved in Service Park for each competition car. If Competitor has multiple competition cars to be located together in service Park, the application for consecutive Service Areas must reach the Organiser by 02 September 2016 (Friday) 18:00 at the latest. In agreement with the Organiser, Competitors may order additional service space with the price of 10 EUR/m2, in case there is still additional space available in the Service Park. 9.
